No doubting his pedigree but points are the bottom line & with his last 3 scores of 42, 42 & 19 I suppose you start to doubt him. Also when you look at the pack that is being dominated & pushed backwards then it means SJ spends most of the game on the back foot.

I really don't get it, it's always been the same for SJ regardless

but he is the highest averaging half and people want to trade him out? because his 3 game average is 34?

I got him in and had those same 3 scores and lobbing him has never once entered my thoughts, it's really stupid IMO

are people dumping Taupau because he has scored 36 and 43?

On nrl360 they were talking about Leilua after he scored the try. Someone either posted here or I read somewhere else that Leilua is disliked by most of the team & the Canberra club wants to sell him.

I always waste trades like that haha. I sold Smith & Kikau & now Ponga & then re-purchased them basically straight away after I sold them.

He scored the try and got up and yelled into the Morris brothers faces and just fully disgraced them. Was extremely disrespectful! Made him look like a dick

Who knows but every team needs a Leilua. Someone who has mongrel & gets in the face of the opposition. All he has to do is tone it down a bit. If I was his team mate I wouldn't care what he got up off the field as long as he played like that each week & I wouldn't want the club to sell him.

So also they were talking about Taupau being squeezed out due to the salary cap. Big Marty wasn't happy about it either based on that interview. So the Warriors are the ideal club for both Taupau & Leilua to come to. We need size in the pack & a Hiku replacement. The Warriors would have an awesome team with those 2 in it. What a massive 3/4 line they would have - Maumalo, Leilua, Kata, Fusitua. They'd all be over 100kg each.

Leilua is universally unliked at raiders. Apart from hearing it from the sheds, just watch the games, no one ever gets round him.

Bulldogs-bound youngster Nick Meaney will make his NRL debut at fullback for the Knights against Parramatta on Friday night.

Five-eighth Connor Watson, who was considered a strong contender for the fullback spot last week after filling in there and scoring two tries against the Bulldogs prior to the bye, will be reunited with Pearce in the halves.

I have not once this season traded someone out and then back in.

Trades are scarce enough as it is to even think about it.

I’ve spent 4 trades alone on surgess. In 4 weeks. Twice in, twice out. 3 on CSmith, in out in.

Crazy to sell SJ but I reckon a case could be made for dumping Taupau to fund another upgrade if you had trades. Plenty of forwards scoring more for less.

Was more so the point mate, SJ is a gun in a position where the scoring is not as high as years gone by and he is the No.1 scorer on avg it is fucking ludicrous to trade him out IMO

I wouldn't dump Taupau if I owned him

On other end of scale, James buyers last week going after unsustainable scores from previous couple of rounds, always swings and roundabouts
