Clearly playing 2 games on Saturday effected Martin's score, I'm sure he will bounce back this week.

I had Walker and Arrow at 18/19th man and neither made it over 40.

Ill tell you all right now, the strategy of having 'very good' backups does not work. Put more money into your starting 17

Haha, yeah that must be a bit gutting. However, you have to remember this was just one round. Overall (if you were to look at a year of NRL for example) you'd take Arrow/Walker over Mann any day. Mann was an absolute fluke. He probably would have made the field for <10min if it weren't for the Widdop injury the round prior! Sometimes its just luck mate.

I think this is a special given Suli is out too.

Part of the reason I was OK with not having a genuine 18th man this season was due to the number of late bloomers this year and last.
Enough cheap options to bring in that could net you 60 points on their day and generally good for 30 odd (Lewis, Brimson etc).

It was a tactic was probably forced into through not making enough money however I haven't even needed to use an 18th man so far.

Switching between Waqa Blake and Holland gained me no advantage this round, hopefully Blake gets back to his 60s on the weekend coming.

Impressive! Who are your main PODs?
NBrown and McInness; as far as crappy scores go though Holland in the Centres over the Aitken/Isakko combo helped.

POD Captain choice in Jurbo certainly helped.

Holland I think is actually the highest averaging Centre since he went to 80 minutes, at 44 over the last couple of months cheer

Is Tofu Harris expected back this week?

Do or die game at home this week against the struggling panthers, would be good as a late POD in my team or if Cleary is back Matto looks the goods also, but since the rise of Radley, Butcher, Aubs, Tetevano etc. I cant see Matto being an 80 minute edge player anymore.

Shit, with Cleary there too their salary cap surely is breaking the budget.

Which player is best to trade in to cancel out of a team lower than me?  Trading Reynolds, so either TTurbo, Brown or James.  Thanks.

Brown, Turbo on fire but every chance he gets a sub 40 game any day of the week. Brown the most consistent

Was leaning more towards the forwards. James back to 80 minutes too, but as is Brown. Not owning Turbo made me crash in the rankings but surely he doesn't score as high against the Tigers and Broncos.

Yeah Holland has been good for the run home. I'm stuck with Aitken & Cotric after losing JCroker both have been a bit average.

Me and you both Chewie. Calling them average is a lot nicer than I would have been. Although, its not like Croker was setting the world on fire either.

I have Mitchell, Aitken, Marsters and Holland.  The one I didn't play got the highest score.

Cotric has been very well. Has scored 40 plus in 8 out of his last 11 games. His 5 game average has taken a hit but im sure hell be back there.

I think I really need to go for it this week. JAC could be a really good POD for the last 2 weeks. No Suli so he should see a lot of ball and there should be a lot of open/broken play for him to run around up against Titans and Panthers. Versing Meercats this week in the Prelims so Martin > Harris is a hail mary for a bit of a POD points grab. Team would line up like this MC Wink

    Cook
    Taupau Fifi
    Tolo Jurbo Chricton
    DCE SJ
    Mitchell Ramien
    Turbo Ponga JAC

    CS9 McInnis Harris Reddot

    Kikau Arrow Cotric Clifford

1 Trade to hopefully use for one more points grab for the Grand Final if i make it

Anyone stuck with Hiku and wanting to play CTR roulette; Beale picked up a hamstring strain, so may open the door for Hiku to satisfy those missed-tackle fetishists while Maloney's out.

Could be a stroke of luck for me if Ramien's ankle injury keeps him out.

Have Lewis or Brimson as 18th man, but stuck with Hiku as my only CTR cover Bang
