Here is an off-season meaningless stat for those bored (like me) who still tinker with player stats trying to find the ultimate formula to pick the best team come round 1.
Last season total team scores. These don't necessarily correspond to points scored in real life. Look at Parramatta for example, worst points for, but scored well in fantasy. But this instance aside, the top fantasy scoring teams were basically the top 8 teams.
__________total points_pts/game_pts/player
dragons_____14908____621.17____36.54
rabbitohs____14666____611.08____35.95
rorters______14651____610.46____35.91
broncos_____14192____591.33____34.78
eels________14022____584.25____34.37
warriors____ 14012____583.83____34.34
storm______ 13959____581.63____34.21
sharks______13937____580.71____34.16
sea eagles___13925____580.21____34.13
bulldogs_____13859____577.46____33.97
panthers____ 13826____576.08____33.89
tigers_______13812____575.50____33.85
knights_____ 13707____571.13____33.60
raiders______13518____563.25____33.13
cowboys_____13260____552.50____32.50
titans_______13045____543.54____31.97
Player mid season swaps have been calculated. E.g Woods, the points he scored at the bulldogs were given to the bulldogs and taken from the sharks total.
I didn't do one for defense, it would be too time consuming only for it to likely show the worst defending teams gave away the most fantasy points. But then again there might be another Parramatta there too. I don't know for certain but at a guess I reckon Penrith might give away more fantasy points then their defense shows.
