One of my first attempts at a team. Keighran is eels half. Struggling to find value around any FRF, Napa only one I can see. Maybe JBrom/Tamou could see some improvement. Bench is really WFB heavy but I can’t see any other basement price players coming up in any teams, guess wait till TLT and trials though. Scoring bench would be Twal/Huth, CHT, Radley, Watson. 77k itb for those dud picks. This will more than likely change a bunch before RD1. Just putting my thoughts on paper.

So here is my first team draft

    McCullough
    Fifita Tolman
    Murray Arrow Matterson
    Morgan Sezer
    Capewell Holland
    Edwards Barba Lomax

    Stimson
    Egan
    Sorensen
    Keighran
    Salmon
    Bird
    Haas
(I refuse to identify the 21st player on the grounds that it may incriminate me)

Relies on Sorensen and Capewell getting the 2 wide spots at the Sharks. If Bukuya gets the gig I'll have to trade one out.
Sort of hoping Sezer will get back to his Titans best with Wighton at 5/8th

Have 0 WFB depth so that will need to change, but there are several guys there who I don't think will leave my team all pre-season.

Moga is unlikely to be there, but you can swap him out with a different cheapie.

Your WFB looks very weak, especially if Lomax doesn't fire or Barba doesn't return to form.

Josh Papalii's scoring can be too erratic, that an he may be shifted up front now with Whitehead, Tapine and Bateman in the back. Cooper Cronk has never been that fantasy relevant. Napa is also another guy who isnt that big fantasy wise. I feel like you have too many mid-range guys.

I tried to avoid looking at any teams until I made my first draft. Just did that, and came back to compare with those already posted. Looks very similar. I guess that is unavoidable.

    Macca
    Tpj, gueler
    Arrow, Murray, tapine
    Dce, Croft
    Jcroker, kapewell
    Ponga, barba, Lomax

A combo of nuffs that will likely include haas, cht, Mahoney, Egan, kerogen

Should give me space to have two mids as well.

I really like Sezer as an option. I am not sold on Tolman at all. Curious about the Barba pick, as I really like Mansour at a similar price. What are you expecting from Barba?

Holland if he is starting CTR is great value, especially if he gets Goal Kicking. Last year in the 10 games he played at CTR he averaged 45.2points and is priced at 30 points which is a massive jump. My only question about it would be, does Holland keep goal kicking? If he does he is far more consistent and definitely worth the pick. Is Haas getting the minutes?

He was getting minutes towards the end of season, with losing two big bodies, papa will take one spot. Even with the two poms, he Emere surely gets more minutes. For the price I’ll be taking the punt pending any major surprises. The risk been the Ricky Stuart effect

With Klemmer and Woods gone Tolman will go back to chief prop and average 40+ easily.

Barba averages over 40 as fullback and is priced at 35. Good value if I can't afford Teddy.

Holland has enough low minute bench games last year that his price is tempting even without kicking. If team lists make it viable may go cheaper though to spend cash elsewhere.

At the moment I think Haas might be a PPM king who provides little fantasy value, but he is cheap so I'm taking a punt for now. Plenty of time to consider if I actually want him on my team or not.

I think by end of year he will probably be getting decent minutes.

Early on, it would look like Papalii, Soliola, Lui, John Bateman, Sutton, Guler, and Luke Bateman competing for spots and minutes in the middle of the field.

I hadn't really considered Barba but now I'm interested. I guess alot of their attack is going to centre around getting him involved.

Murray, Stimson Matterson will be a popular back row.
Warriors half and Parra half will be in every team.
Capewell will be every where (assuming he gets an edge spot)

Few cheapies that are everywhere for now too like Lomax, Haas, etc

Hopefully trials and team lists provide some differentiation, good if there is variety in starting teams

No doubt plenty of changes but pretty happy with it so far. $460k ITB for those knee jerk trades round 2

Actually I agree. Forgot about Liu. Papa, lui and soli will get the most minutes up front.

Hey mate, I've never done any well either, so you should absolutely, totally, listen to my advice.

You're depending a lot on cows for scoring, and you seem to be a huge Raiders fan? Fair enough, I guess. Some of my best friends are Raiders fans. Well, not best. Or friends.

The rumours are the Salmon is training at centre - do you want him using a halves scoring spot? Same with Elliot. Do you see Haas doing better than 20-25 points off a stacked Broncos pack? Then play him, otherwise reshuffle.
I'd view Sutton/Barba as genuine risks - coming from lower grade England and playing in serious heat, with competition for spots to boot.
I'd also be tempted to put more cows in the centres - dropping Marsters (who is unlikely to increase in value much) for someone who'll make coin.
