Good to hear a lady has never been a victim of revenge porn. Wonder where the term came from if it's never happened?mattnz wrote:

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
I hope Napa plays because:
a) like others have said it's bullshit, he's a victim of revenge porn and it would be like putting someone in jail for wearing a red hat, six years before wearing a red hat was made illegal.
b) Napa could be a half decent cash cow
c) I think Tolman is a decent pick even with Napa there. If's Napa's out, everyone will have him.

I see the league registration thread is up. Has anyone seen anything about there being ranked leagues this year?

Ranked Official Leagues on the Fantasy website? Nah, but I doubt they've bothered addressing the issue. We will PM them and find out but no breaths held Fanatics would have killed it again last year.

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
I am having a really hard time trying to separate a lot of the value players available. I have decided to use my own value based decision tool to help decide.
It is based on the following:
1. Every player has a base cost of at least $212,000. The salary cap isnt really $9.6M, but $9.6M - (21x212,000) = $5,148,000. This is the discretionary spending that you have above base cost.
2. Every player in consideration should at a minimum be getting 20 points per game.
My formula for True Dollars Per Extra Point (TDPEP) is therefore:
TDPEP = (Player cost - $212,000) / (Expected Average Score - 20)
Our job is to maximize the TDPEP of our squad to get the most amount of points within our discretionary spend budget.
Those at base cost are effectively free, as they don't use any discretionary spending.

Not my point at all. Napa didnt have someone else film it, they broke up and they released it on the internet, instead he filmed himself having sex with someone, then shared it with all his team mates in a group chat to brag. Totally different scenario.

He needs to show signs of getting minutes and form before getting near my team. So many great opportunities out there ahead of him.

I kinda do a similar thing. I don't look at their price. I look at their priced average vs the avg I think they'll get and you want the guys with the largest difference. But it's more complicated than that. If you only pick guys with heaps of value, you'll have to make more trades because those guys generally aren't keepers. There's also job security. There's bye planning if you go for that. There's also a stack of other variables. But I do like the analytical approach.

Yes agree, that is all part of it for me too. Just forming this as a starting point though as a way to rank players before slotting them into the team. I am finding it hard to make decisions like Tolman and Haas vs Stimson and Capewell in my reserves.

You know for a fact that’s exactly what happened do you?
Was it Napa’s phone that the video was taken on or was it the guy filming? Napa certainly didn’t film himself he was thrashing away like a man pocessed.. on the whatsapp group was it Napa that posted or was it the team mate saying “hey look what Papi got up to last night”
