Not Niko either, it was a guy who absolutely killed it in trial and was never heard of again. Like was a part of one those 10 man trial benches.

16 or 17, but if it the convo was on the FB group then I’ll be able to find it.bluetige wrote:@SI. What year are you talking about? Like VK I would have guessed Jayden Nikorima
If on here, probably not. He was an NYC player who got a shot in a gammy trial.

If you were in last years Fanatics overall group, I have it saved. Not sure if you can get it through failhub
You came 1061st

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Wondering if I crank the 'trials and tribulations' back up again this year?
Do people enjoy it, find it helpful, annoying, useful or enjoy the read?
Miss the old graphs from a couple years back and not sure more what I can add or improve in it or what I want it to be?
It usually becomes just a rebuild thread haha, usually start really bad each year
So just putting the feelers out to see if worth doing again, I know all the cool kids use youtube and podcasts so is this still a good medium?
Just wondering how to best direct my energy this year haha
Not going to play Supercoach this year so will focus my attention 100% to this and on a personal level things are in a good place.
Have enjoyed the offseason but now things start to ramp up, so let me know what people want or how i can help
Booze

To be fair I went through the motions last year so it was a shell of its former self, so just putting the feelers out to see if worth doing again?
Unsure what people want haha
Hey Booze, good to see you mate. I for one, loved your thread and found it helpful, useful and enjoyable ( all the above) so my vote is a yes.

I found it enjoyable mate, for sure. And also useful on several occasions when a few of us were going back and forth on some options.

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Thanks Milchy, legend
Using fortitudes method of just going to some set and forget and only needing to change over the cows making cash allowed me to get a decent team haha relying on TLT of course
Macca
Fifi(c) TPJ
Murray Stimo Arrow(vc)
Morgo Croft
Capewell Croker
Turbo Drinkwater Lomax
Mahoney Burr Brown Keighran
Haas Garrick Allan Ravalawa
100K itb
Don’t like having that many basement players though.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on cotric this year? No Rapana for first half of the year, so should favour his wing and will hopefully have Croker inside him all year with no injury, who actually passes the ball. Could even go fb at some point?

How bout a little chat on Lomax. Im not seeing why he seems to be in so many people's starting 17. Does he have gun stats from lower grades or something? Or is it because people dont like spending on the C position and he therefore fits the bill as a cheap option there?

That's my plan for the centres. Sick to death of burning trades every year.
Not a truer word spoken. Awful position.
Interestingly that long post about your mans winning season something jumped out at me. Strong centers! Something I never do but his performance combined with me burning trades is leading me towards not being as strong at WFB as currently am and installing whoever is most nailed on out of Bateman and Capewell for starters

I think he's getting all these selections because he might be a confirmed basement priced starter. He will likely start on the wing too, which will get him DPP. The more cheapies people get the more keepers people can afford. He will likely be in my team but not in my 17. And yes people might want him for the CTR position

Players names getting thrown up as future immortals really shits me, he's not even in the conversation. I'm only 32 and he's the 4th best halfback I've seen yet you've thrown up his name next to whats regarded as the best 13 players to ever strap on a boot.
Couldn't agree more. Such disrespect. There's no way Cronk is immortal quality. Good solid player
The next immortals will be Lockyer, Thurston, Slater & Smith.
Inglis is a flat out dead-set no. If he had of kept on the pathway of his trajectory from 18-23, he'd be in the conversation, but he's been busted for 3-5 years now and not even half the player he was. Meninga is miles ahead.

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Lomax averaged 42.9 fantasy points in ISP last year. 8 games, 5 at centre 3 on the wing. 7 tries.
He is generating the most real world talk out of any cheap CTR/WFB, and seems most secure in his first grade position.
Its pretty much inevitable that you will have some basement price players in your 21, and other than the Eels/Warriors halves he seems the next best bet. That might all change with trials
