That's a very cool story mate. To think over the last 20 years how modern technology has advanced. The method you used to a young person would seem foreign & as if it was used 200 years ago.

Read an interview wirh Mahoney last week and he and Pritchard are fighting for the 9 spot. The comments seemed to suggest it could go either way.

There was the FOX game and Sportal had a version as well. Before that there was the one where you literally posted your selections in, like by fucking mail lol! before those.   One of the lads on here (maybe Fraser or GM or Sash?) used to play it and relive the story occasionally, pretty sure was one of the Raiders favs anyway.

Actually GM might remember more about when the Sportal DT/Fantasy threads started as well.

Sorry missed this bud until RNGD post just now.

2008 I came on and ST was there and Arsen was the Milch and DK was the legend (still is) so it dates earlier than that. I’d suggest around 2006.

Didnt realise BMoz was so cheap. 370k, averaged 25 last year, historically averages 35 at wing, moving from one of the worst attacking sides in the comp to one of the best. And he's too good a real life player to get dropped when Hall is fit, that'll more likely be Tupou. Far happier having him in my back three making coin than any of the 228k options (although Lomax useful DPP cow on the bench.)

Dragons seem to be starting seasons on fire mate last few years, not saying he will but what was Nene averaging on the wing for the dragons?

I know he is priced at 48 but with the pack the cows have and what all accounts are pointing towards of a more up tempto game style this year surely Hess can become an elite ball runner. Took a bit to get his fitness to 80 minutes a game, but now he is game fit and this IS someone who is a fantastic ball runner and knows how to find the try line I reckon he could bump that average up to 52-55 and 1.7% ownership. Not much chat for him.

With Cartwright being an antivaxer I’ll be steering clear. Not taking the risk on his now injury prone kid

I’m happy with my team. My concern is where the money wil come from. There is no isaako, cotric, lodge type players you can count on for a few 100k. Looks like I’ll probbaly burn a few trades early to catch the cows that slipped through the gap

Just didn’t consider starting with him
And the extra cash I had from dropping Croft to Munster allowed me to realise I could afford him! 3.6% seems really low for a gun of his caliber, TLolo is 20%!

Nobody thought Thompson or Isaako would make the money they did at seasons start mate, I don’t think! But for every isaako there is a Nabuli! I think Lomax will go around 30 potentially higher. Ravalawa, Sivo, Could be next Semi!

Yeah, Hess coukd be a full gun with less attack going through the Thurston/Cooper side. Similar to Kikau though and Kikau is cheaper.

I saw this and decided not to post as I figure he isn't a big talking point. But his missus is whack, she wants to have her second baby they are doing elimination communication. So no nappies and the child will goto the bathroom on the grass outside.

That's going to be a fun first week until they give in. Dead set he has horrid luck with women.

Crazy to think how long ago that was - I played the old sportal games, won a couple of times, though the prizemoney was $500 or so. Was on the old sportal forums too before it became VSDT. I still play everything on VSDT, including their weird free daily fantasy stuff (there was a few weeks there where you could play cash entry ones but that stopped for some reason). My daily fantasy bank is back over $300 now. I better withdraw it incase they stop doing it. Haha.

The scoring was so simple back then. I think it was just wins and tries, maybe goals also. Same for EPL - wins and goals.

Good times. Fantasy sports is great fun. But I may have a problem....NHL, NFL, EPL (x2), NRL (x3), AFL (x3), Big Bash, MotoGP, F1, V8s....feck. I'm sure there's more too. Haha

Yeah it’s a total tangent but that shit is whack.

On fantasy. I was always going to lock in jurbo as my set and forget who I’d captain until I’m either a. Confident that Macca will score or b. Get cook in.

All this talk of Crichton makes me want him now. Currently have jurbo, murray, lil pap.

Thought Id chuck a team up while it's quiet.

    Macca
    Surgess, TPJ
    Arrow, Murray, Stimson
    Croft, Morgan
    Capewell, Hampton
    Teddy, Watson, Morris

Mahoney, Egan, Nikora, DBrown aka Drown
    Lomax, Sivo, Keighran, Ravalawa

Leaves 100k in the bank for jumping on an big miss if it shows.

    Thoughts?

He had off season surgery & the coach said he'll either start in the halves or come off the bench round 1. The coach doesn't want to risk him aggravating his injury & not rush because due to surgery he'll be underdone at season start.
