At centre, Suli averaged 32 at the Tigers in 2017, and 33 at Manly in 2018

Priced at 29 not sure there is a tonne of value there. Especially as CTR seems to have an unusually good amount of value this year.
I'd much rather Holland/Capewell for the same price. Or go cheaper

    JKust another random point.

A lot of people are waiting for TLT to "confirm" things before finalising their team

Last year in round 1 there were
    4 starters in jerseys 14-17
    2 starters in jerseys 18-21
5 interchange players named in numbers 18-21

8 players named in jerseys 1-13 who started on the bench
4 players named in jerseys 1-13 who didn't play at all.

Will be fun come TLT trying to decide who is going to miss out this year

Certain coaches are known for inaccurate team lists.
It would be interesting to see which team's teamlist was accurate, and which one was rubbish

Here is a list of everyone who played in a jersey not matching their position

    Blake Austin 14 Five-Eighth
    Te Maire Martin 14 Five-Eighth
    Benji Marshall 14 Five-Eighth
    Ryan Matterson 16 2nd Row
    James Fisher-Harris 17 2nd Row
    Kurt Capewell 18 2nd Row
    Matthew Dufty 18 Fullback
    Sam Thaiday 10 Hooker
    Corey Jensen 18 Interchange
    Matt McIlwrick 18 Interchange
    Jeremy Latimore 19 Interchange
    Hymel Hunt 20 Interchange
    Sam Kasiano 20 Interchange
    Aidan Sezer 6 Interchange
    Junior Paulo 8 Interchange
    Andrew McCullough 9 Interchange
    Ben Matulino 10 Interchange
    Reagan Campbell-Gillard 10 Interchange
    Viliame Kikau 11 Interchange
    Boyd Cordner 11 Interchange
    Paul Gallen 13 Interchange

McCullough not starting was known (or at least strongly suspected) beforehand due to coming back form big injury.
Josh Reynolds got injured at training for Tigers forcing a reshuffle, can't remember how much notice there was.

I remember being surprised by Kikau going to bench, causing me to trade rage him out of my team minutes before kickoff (and then trade him back in the next week)

Don't remember what caused the other changes.

If Luke departs do you think the Warriors will make a play for Segeyaro. They could pay him peanuts because no other club wants to sign him so Segeyaro would have no bargaining power. His style of play would probably suit the Warriors.

Segeyaro cant get a contract anywhere. If ANY team wants him, they would have him already.

Classic coach fluff. That is 8 weeks away. The whole debacle will be forgotten by then and Haas will have torn up Q Cup for four weeks in the meantime.

There must be even more to his off field history than is widely known for him still to be out of a job.

That is certainly a possibility i.e. he's more trouble than he's worth but I remember reading a Sharks forum & the general consensus was that he plays for himself (selfish), refuses to play to the game plan & ignores the coaches instructions. They basically were sick & tired of his bs.
But we're talking about the Warriors. They can't attract the prime targets & the only way they can get average players is by paying overs e'g. Foran. Segeyaro is perfect because he has no other options & no other choice.

Did you read the story about the new Australian sports integrity commission asking AFL for positive drug tests of players, even those not recorded as a strike due to mental illness because it could uncover links to bikie gangs opening players up to extortion and potential Ryan Tandy type activities.

Yep, bit of a war chest at the moment, hence why I think Luke's agent is making a play for some of it because it has to go somewhere.

What percentage of the salary cap MUST be used each year?

Warriors won't go near that type of player these days.
They've really drawn a line in the sand over the last 18-24 months in terms of only signing players with a very good work ethic:

    Adam Blair
    Tohu Harris
    RTS
    Burr
    Adam Keighran
    Blake Green

All known to be team players who put in the extras at training.

I know the Eels basically played a Raiders reserve grade side in the trial last week but apparently Mahoney made 58 tackles, none missed & didn't play the whole game. Now why do they need Luke.

Personally, I think the Eels are going backwards if they sign Luke. Seems pretty typical of the type of signing they make though.
