Alfie wrote:Why do so many people think the Knights will just stroll into the top 8? They had the worst defence in the league last year. Will Klemmer and Glasby really make that much of an impact? Klemmer didn't stop the Bulldogs from being shit and Glasby was a bench prop, can't see him doing much
I'm a massive knights fan, and I agree top 4 is far too optimistic. I think 6-8th

I'm rather liking the look of Kapow in my side. Did my eyes deceive me or did he play the entire first half on the weekend?

Costs me by having to run a cheap half along side arey and only have Macca/Mahoney.
I think Murray and arrow are almost musts. I rate jurbo highly, and know he will be in my team at some point. But do I put in someone cheaper to strengthen else’s where.
Basically I’m looking for a reason to not splash cash on him. But struggling to find one
I'll give you a couple of reasons re Jurbo:
(1) in the trial he went of the field & left the ground in a moon boot although they reckon it's precautionary
(2) Des will turn him into a ball playing lock like he did with J. Graham. This means he'll be passing before the line limiting his run mtrs, offloads, tb's, etc

In regards to Jurbo I had him in my draft league so watched him like a hawk.
He already passes before the line in about 50% of instances so O don't really feel this will change much this season. He is a workhorse he will make his 50s each week.

He played the full 40, was really active, and scored a try, which he didn't do all of last season.

Apparently Sege is set to re sign with the sharks and could be announced very soon.
Only rumours but there are comments Dugan could be in the way out, freeing up cap space and pushing Xerri into a starting role.

Oooh that would be great Really want Xerri / Katoa right edge.
The rumours are that they need to get rid of some salary cap and can't play SJ until they do. Getting rid of Dugan who breaks down often, costs them a lot of money and has a great ready made replacement available would make a lot of sense.

Player stats from 2018 now have their match position added in to the table. You are also able to filter by position, and minutes played (eg matches over 60 mins). There is a summary line at the bottom of the table for averages, and the averages adjust based on the filter.
I added a couple of other things the other day as well, such as the ownership % changes over the last 7 days (top 15 increases and decreases in ownership).

Don't know if its been confirmed elsewhere, but it sounds like Brennan will play Ryan James at left edge:
"I thought he was good tonight and I thought Will Matthews was really good out there," Brennan said of his starting back-rowers.
"He's another one who comes into the equation if Ryan isn't right but I spoke to Ryan this afternoon and asked him how he's feeling and I think he's planning to run on Monday.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 thread part 8
Wacko tweeted that NAS started left edge with Stimson right, in the trial. Is that true? Kafusi will be right edge in round 1..
Edit: i just checked teamlists and eisenhuth definitely started left cos he was in the 12 and made a couple of errors.
It is actually interesting tho that stimson would trial in F Kaufusi's position
