This is my entire point. It doesn't matter how you score your points as long as you score them. And typically wingers don't score very many. Picking a winger that averaged 27 last year and expecting him to jump 7 points purely based on scoring a few tries is absurd

Most are leaning towards going with one of the mid options Edwards/Drinkwater/Watson and a couple of cheapies in the Kahu/CNK tier

Seen as better value for money I guess with the gun WFB likely to have a low score at some point and drop a bit of cash

You could have kept that to yourself. It's gonna shit me all year now.

Whitehead doesn't have any stats on the official site either, which I assume is an unfixed Fanhub screw-up from something weird that happened with Whitehead in the FIRST WEEK of last year.

Reckon the loss of Harris with injury for that period contributed to why that whole right edge lost effectiveness.

Dragons are threatening to sue the NRL if JDB is stood down today. They are claiming that he should be treated as innocent until proven guilty. The NRL need to stay out of the media at the moment and I see this as a lose lose situation, stand JDB down and get sued, let him play and get shit for not standing him

I really want to try fit Milford in my team, I just feel he will have a Dally M kind of year this year. Been some talk over the off season he has been locked in and spent lots of time with the Johns brothers and also the AFL honing in on his kicking.

I dropped Teddy for Kahu and brought in Taupau, without cs9 or cook in my team i needed a sure fire C and i am not confident putting that on Teddy... hopefully will find a way to get him back in my team thou

It's just as absurd as expecting more ball down Cotric's and Bird's edge but people have said that

haha.. yeah I think it was something to do with his name being spelt wrong. Instead of just fixing the issue he has been added a second time in the system. I think I should be able to match them up.

    EDIT: fixed now

I really wanted to pick him, but he didn't return to full contact until just recently after shoulder surgery, and is now out of the trial this weekend because of a hammy issue. Just has me wary he might start slow, but I do think he'll have a career year.

Warning "training the house down" comment - he was apparently "the fittest he has ever been" in pre season this year. Broke his 1.2km PB by 12 seconds.

The NRL or more broadly, rugby league will ALWAYS be in the media. Its a no win. Either DeBelin/Walker and Co hog the headlines charged with something or the NRL, in trying to keep them out of the headlines, get flogged! We must remember the media will always dish up a story - they just determine the angle to get the most outrage amongst the public - which in turn sells papers and gets clicks on web pages. I'd love to see the sponsors pull the plug and the income stream for players go down the gurgler - then they might learn. After all, it was the players who wanted their wage based on income/sponsors. #backinmybox

I'm happy with Nikora at CTR (supposing he starts) but unhappy with Bird. Is Kahu going to score any better, or should I really just spring for Holland or Capewell at the expense of my bench?

You should have Holland in your team

Nothing wrong with a Nikora/Bird ctr pairing. I look at ctr scoring as a combo. If both as a total score average 30 each then I'm happy e.g. Nikora scores 40 & Bird 20. Bird is playing outside Milford & inside Oates & this is the preferred attacking edge so Bird should get plenty of ball.

Holland and Nikora for me. Will try and sneak Capewell onto the bench
