Yeah. I'd only consider him if Levi was out injured. Mann is supposedly playing on the wing this weekend...

McGuire is back on my radar with that all important DPP.

Looks like they were already re-shuffling a bit to give all of him, Lolo and Scott big roles

If he is named starting hooker you can consider him.

The chances of him being named starting hooker are not high.

He's been named on the wing for the trial. To me this indicates that Levi will be the starting hooker & Mann will play the same role off the bench that he did for the Dragons. I would pass & wait & see.

If McGuire is lock for the Cowboys, I'll find a way to get him in my side. Pretty safely a 45-50 point player, DPP and under priced. I think I'll wait on Gillett, if he gets big minutes the first couple of weeks I'll try get him in. The holes in the Panthers, Dragons, Storm and Sharks back rows should provide several good value options, will be filling my bench with those guys (and Mahoney).

I also think Lil Papa could have a good fantasy year, either at lock or as an 80 minute second rower. Afoa is under valued, is a workhorse who had reduced minutes last season because of injury.

Going Morgs and Brown/Keighran in the halves, I think Morgan is a bit of a flake/over rated, but at that price he should be decent value.

Can't go past the Sharks back rowers for my centre spots, but will both probably need to be traded at some stage. Will have Lomax as back up. Edwards my only WFB lock in, with Walker out as well and Turbo, surely Hopa will get a start?

I was just reading the nrl.com article on fantasy files re Garner & imo it is misleading. They mention he scored 47 points in 29 minutes in his 2nd game but they neglect top say he also scored 24 in 48 mins in his 3rd game & 34 points of 53 minutes in his 5th game. Now what I object to is that someone playing nrl fantasy in their 1st year without access to balanced information like our site might read that article & think what a bargain & put him into their team. Then if for example Garner scores 30 off 50 minutes they will be like wtf I thought he'd kill it.

McGuire - yeah if Lolo is named on the edge then McGuire @ 591k & the vital dpp for positions 14-17 would peak my interest for sure. As you say he's very consistent & has a big motor & I can see good minutes if Lolo starts on the edge.
    I. Papalii - yeah I see the attraction & he looks very promising. I would prefer 80 minutes on edge.
Afoa - he did catch my eye in the trial but lack of minutes is a problem if he starts on the bench.
Morgan & halves - can't argue with that
    Sharks 2fr ctrs - agreed

Just on the discussion of Ipap, do we see him as a 50 point player minimum? Surely Mannering's departure leaves a ton of work to be done in the forwards. Is he going to play 80? got him in my team atm but might swap him out for another 550-600k 2rf.

Secondly, if you had to run with one of CNK or Kahu, who would you pick? I see them as pretty much having the same points output so might run with kahu to save a few $$

In 2017 McInnes extended his stay with the Red V until the end of the 2021 season. He played finals football in 2018 & was on the cusp of playing State of Origin. His own coach has declared he is the best hooker in NSW. There is absolutely zero evidence to suggest this rumour is true or McInnes is unsettled.

Not sure how the Cows bench will look this year with Hampton firming for that centre spot. The utility/hook role could be up for grabs with Baptiste the new recruit.

If there are four bigs on the bench, then Granville (538k 36avg) could play bigger minutes with Mcguire covering. Not the most consistent fella but Granville could be unders if he sees 65+ mins throughout the year

Moose does look tempting with that DPP.
My 3rd 2RF spot has been on constant rotation, not sure who to go with yet. Leilua, CHN, McGuire...hmm
