Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Thread Part 9
With Drinkwater out, can we assume that Hughes will get the fullback spot? I have a sneaky suspicion that he won't and that either Munster moves back there or they give Papenhuyzen a chance. It would be a bold move but Papenhuyzen looked really good in the trial time he got, plus he has the coolest name in the NRL.
Thoughts?

Just getting through the thread mate, assume Smith went into the Halves then?

With Napa not suspended, not seeing the value in Tolman
Serious money spent on WFBs

Not bad, but I'm not so sure Hughes will actually get the fullback spot even with Drinky out. I suspect either Munster moves back (with Hughes and Croft in the halves) or Papenhuyzen gets a start.

It's not like Napa is going to steal Tolman's tackles, he averages like 20 a game.

Ted Hughes RTS. Not money well spent?

Not me, I don't rate Hughes as a fantasy option, and TBH I didn't have Drinkwater in anyway (I did in SC though, he would have been an absolute steal on there). Hopefully Bellyache puts Hughes at 5/8 and moves Munster back to fullback, then I'd lock him in any day of the week.

Makes sense though unless I'm missing something. I haven't even watched it yet. But Hughes is cheaper and now doesn't have the competition he had a couple of hours ago right?

Just added RTS to my own team, looking good for Warriors.
Not seeing upside value in Hughes. He looks to be priced pretty fairly.
Teddy also likely to be fairly priced.
I think there are likely to be bottom dollar WFBs that are playable, may get 10 points less per week for a guy like Ravalawa, but in other positions that cost difference can make 20 points.

If Drinkwater was able to avoid a complete tear (would be very lucky considering traumatic mechanism of injury), a general guide for partial tears/lower grade pec strains (reminder they are the same thing):
Grade 1: 1-4 weeks
Grade 2: 4-8 weeks
Grade 1: 1-4 weeks
Grade 2: 4-8 weeks

Hughes has played some games at FB and some games in the halves so I'd be interested to know what his stats are at FB compared to half.

38.7 average at FB, 32.4 at Halfback last year.

I dunno but I suspect that Bellamy might play Hughes in the halves, either for Croft (if he drops him for being shit) or Munster (if he gets his wish and moves back to fullback). If the second scenario happens, then Munny is locked into my halves (although surely he'd get his DPP back)

Would rather have a $212k player capable of 30-35 than a $500k at 38 average.
