In games Napa played over 40 minutes in last year, he averaged 28.

In 19 games, he only had 3 games where he scored over 36 points

    2017 was a bit better

2016 he averaged 45 as a starting prop, averaging 56 minutes

Obviously you'll be hoping he can get back to 2016 levels. He's cheap enough that its not the worst gamble you could make, but gee he doesn't inspire confidence in me,

Yeah, he loves a miss tackle too. I guess if anything you could start and if he flops after a couple of weeks he could be a straight swap with any FR cows that pop up once we know how things are looking.

I think he'd be a 20 minute prop average 20 points and a very slow burner. I'd rather get a backline cow and see how it looks after a few weeks.

Just wondering what the cause for this was. Did he only play really limited minutes, or was he just rubbish?

Thanks again for those stats. They could play a big part in finalising some of my selections after this weekend.
Not sure if answered, but he looked really good to me, very comfortable.

Bryce Gibbs tweeted (in response to one of the Tele journos) that he spoke to Chris Lawrence and he didnt break his jaw.. seems odd.

EDIT: he's just deleted the tweet. weird

Bryce isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

I wonder if Bryce was saying he (Bryce) didn’t break his jaw whilst talking to Chris Lawrence...

Saw Taumalolo fluff piece on nrl.com and checked his ownership which is already at 20.4%. Surprised at this.

I liked what I saw in the trial re Sironen. I think he's going to pick up where Lane left off with DCE putting him through the line. Sironen scored a great try doing exactly this. Gauging by the trial it looks like Des wants to play open attacking football which suits Sironen as well. My only reservation is having 2 Manly forwards in my team but to me around that price range Sironen is the best option & you know he'll play 80 mins.

If he gets 45+ mins he'll score around 50 plus he likes a tb. But I have concerns about his mins plus I have Burr & having 2 Warriors players does give me the shits tbh. If the Eels run a hooker/utility on the bench I might go Paulo. But my greatest hope is for Fotuaika to start for the Titans. The scenario I want is Paulo & Fotuaika as my starting props & Taupau on my bench & get rid of Stimson.

I am a bit scared on Napa, how did he look in the trial? Theoretically he should be very busy for the Dogs, he should be Klemmer-esque for them by being their only Big Bodied forward taking the big hit ups with Tolman doing the nitty gritty stuff. Their bench doesn't scream size so Napa should be the go to man I am just a bit scared he could be a little lazy and lethargic.

I'd expect him to rip in, and he looked good in the trial. That doesn't always translate to fantasy points though.

    https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/03/01/more-minutes-more-carnage-for-middle-man-jason-taumalolo/

Lots to take from this artical. (hasnt played edge since 2014). Pretty much says the trial is just testing out how the combo goes and giving Tolo some match fitness. Also being used to see how he goes being a line runner and Morgos protector in the D. Says if it works that it could be put in place for round 1 with tolo starting 11 and then cooper coming on to shift Tolo to the middle. Tolo has spent most his time at training in the middle with some spent on the edge. Tolo also said he wants to play 80 minutes a lot more this year, whether it means 80 in the middle or starting on the edge then shifting to the middle.

The dogs need him to go well too, doesn't mean he will, but it would help out his actual team, as well as fantasy players if he could up his workload a bit

Quite like it LB. Running cheap in the halves but general thought is Morgan should hit 50, Brown also looked pretty good and averaged 100 run metres per game in ISP so shouldnt be a dud. I personally would have Keighran in there, will see more ball as a half at NZ than Brown will as a 6 at Eels, plus should have GK duties. Holland if GK is a set and forget. WFB is STRONG! Your top 6 are STRONG - minus a few ? around Matto. Bench is pretty good, im looking at running something similar with Stimson in my 13. Definitely would just leave that until TLT and maybe tinker a few things.

    Cheers mate.
    Thanks for the thoughts
