Fellow LAM lover at this stage, pending Warriors bench.

I'm on the LAM train, is one of the players who hasn't missed any of my draft teams for weeks. Playing him off the bench behind Taupau and Fifita.

I am finding I am getting really set in my mind on certain players, especially my starting pack and 14-17 and that it is giving me very little flexibility to tweak things now. Getting some gaps in backup, because the players I am seeing as best value aren't necessarily covering back up for all positions.

    Mahoney LAM/Vaughn Burr Egan

Xerri Brown Hoppa Another rookie starter.

Not sold that Stimson is gonna start though.  Nikora and Egan too I guess.

We are not that different Wolfie,

    Cook ( C )
    Tapau, Tolman
Murray, Arrow, JTurbo ( VC )
    Morgan, Keighran
    Holland, Nikora
    Edwards, Drinkwater, CNK

    Napa, Burr, Brown, Mahoney

    Allen, Hopoate, Xerri and Rawa

Of course Napa will be sent off in the first six weeks after one too many Big Pappi jokes takes its toll on his tackling technique.

    10K in the kitty.

Jury out on Stimson and Burr.

They updated some of the pictures and jerseys for the player faces

CNK still has no picture though. Among other expensive players without a face are Hodgson and Marsters

In terms of second row for Sharks, would Nikora be lining up on Johnson's side if named to start for R1 (assuming #12 jersey in trial)??

Is a tougher draw a positive or negative for the gun FRFs - deciding between Fifita and Taupau in my current template as they would likely be my main captaincy option (with Arrow & McCullough potential options)

Taupau: tigers, ROOSTERS, WARRIORS (but in Christchurch), RABBITOHS, knights
Fifita: knights, TITANS, cowboys, eels, ROOSTERS

Home games uppercase, away games lowercase

This is prob more applicable to outside backs. Maybe look at how many afternoon games playing in the heat or 5 day turnarounds

Dylan Walker stood down until court case in may

Napa free to play. Fined 10% of 2019 salary

Scott Bolton out, Corey Jensen in. Does this make any of the Cowboys forwards any more enticing?

Eels are obviously in the market for a hooker after chasing luke and pritchard taking time off. The sharks have 3 hookers able to play 1st grade and they need to release players to get under the cap?
I just wonder how long Mahoney stays as an 80 min hooker

Not really. Lolo at a stretch might have more work if he's playing 80 between edge and middle. Remains to be seen.

If Lolo plays 50 mins at 2RF and 30 in the middle each week, do you think he becomes a must have player? Even when on the edge I can see him still always looking for work.

That would lead me to picking McCullough as a set and forget captain because Broncos always play Thursday or Friday nights Neutral

So Napa looking at a 50k fine. Can he be like a beneficiary & pay it off $5 a week. That would be sweet as for Dylan.
On his fantasy prospects imo his playing style doesn't suit fantasy. Every pack needs a mongrel & Napa is that mongrel type player & very good at it in real life but these types of players don't score that well in fantasy because for example they want to smash the ball runner & it usually ends up as a missed tackle.

@ wackos - Kurt Mann to start wing in the trial. Well that's a line through him. Levi will start at hooker & Mann looks like playing the same role off the bench that he did for the Dragons.

I'm liking these player sanctions being handed down by the nrl to JDB & Walker. It sends a message & I think all players will think twice about playing up. Before these sanctions I reckon players thought what can happen to me, even if I go to court I'll still be able to play because I'm presumed innocent. Now they know they will be gone if they play up. Plus if you hit them with a big fine as well the players won't like that at all.

I guess it depends on the quality they can sign.

Segeyaro was not wanted by any club, and Blayke Brailey is yet to play first grade, I reckon if they're going to make a signing, they'd want someone with some experience. It's always going to be tough to find the right player at this stage of pre season, reckon they might be looking at a player swap.
