They must be a bit short on prop depth are they?

Bit of a shame for him really. He worked so hard to fit into the Storm squad and then got farmed out quickly. At least he still has an income

JBrom, NAS, 2i Kami squared, Vete, KBrom can play middle, Welch, Pat Kaufusi, Finucane can play middle.

So depth is there, just not much experience.

He's still only 28, could possibly go to ESL, play a starting role and come back when he is 31-32 to retire.

Running Napa next to Fifi/Taupau just allows so much extra balance around the ground.

Limited sample size but 4 games starting at an average of 42.5 points in 73 minutes. Priced at 34
In those games he made a bunch of tackles but did very little else
With Will Smith hanging around on the bench if the Eels are behind and need some spark off the bench(which they will in a lot games) Mahoney seems the logical candidate for a spell. I see him getting somewhere around 65 minutes on average.
Is there something I’m missing or everyone is just chasing a cheapish starting hooker?
The first trial was the only time I’ve ever paid attention to him. I got the impression he might have some attacking stats in him as well, loved a dart! Drug

    Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Appreciate all the great discussion on here.

Thought as a bit of a laugh for I’d see if I could make a team of players with 3 letter acronyms - I won’t be going with it but it fits under the salary cap (and will probably go better than my actual team)

    JMK
    JWH, RCG
    TPJ, RFM, SST
    TMM, DCE
    SKD, MCK
    CNK, MWZ, RTS

    DWZ, JFH, CHN, GGM
    4 x 212k

JDB, LAM, JAC missed the cut

You know what I might just do it.

Teddy could become Hughes and then ya could sneak a Matterson in for Sironen

Yeah i could go Teddy to Edwards and turn Stimson into anyone 739 and below (Surgess, Vaughn, TPJ for FRF cover). This is all looking too tempting. I might just as well end up with something like this. Will wait for TLT though and remake my team.

Tried to put together a team with as many of the players I see as undervalued as possible. Problem is who to play in the 14-17 (and the weak WFB, but have to play Ravalawa to be able to fit him into the 21).

    McCullough
    Fifita (C) Ah Mau
    Arrow, Murray, Sironen
    Morgan, Hughes
    Holland, Capewell
    RTS, CNK, Ravalawa

    Mahoney, Stimson, Garner, Nikora
    Brown, Napa, Keighran, Garrick

Ahh yes FRF cover is a good idea. Surgess also FRF cover.

Putting all our eggs in a Napa basket. Surely you don't leave a club for a smaller role.

Similar make up and methodology to my own team. You could downgrade Capewell and RTS to strengthen elsewhere (not that they won't do well)

Reminder that Kane Evans was pretty important member of the Roosters rotation and left in search of a starting spot. He ended up getting one, probably didn’t expect it would be for Wentworthville

Unless he was pushed rather than jumped.

My thoughts also though, he wouldn't be willingly leaving a premiership team as a bench player to join a wooden spoon contention team to play the same role. Only thing is if he can perform over the bigger minutes. Had quite a tumultuous 2018 with criticism surrounding his tackling technique then his off season from hell so i guess you could say he'll want to prove he belongs here. 2018 actually looks to be a bit of an outlier for him. Reverted back to the bench by SST and JWH, these are his stats when starting prop and playing 40minutes or more.

    2015 - 41.05
    2016 - 44.5
    2017 - 37
    2018 - 26.8

If he can make his way back to those marks around 2015-2017 a BE of 24 will be anywhere between 13 and 20 points underpriced, which using the MN of 14900 for now could be $193.7K to 298K.

I'm almost certain he was quoted as saying the reason he left the Roosters because he could get a starting spot at the Eels.

Now, maybe the roosters are controlling what he says to the media..

For the team that can be built around his inclusion I think it's a punt worth taking
