If he starts it will be in the backs? Capewell starts in the forwards and might offer more consistent scoring?Khany wrote:

For the price I'll be using Nikora instead.

Edwards, Hughes and Nicoll-Klokstad
Edwards as he has potential to jump to a keeper, Hughes can cover the halves and CNK looks good and impressed in trials, bulked up too
If I have spare $$$ I may look at Watson but would rather spend money elsewhere
Kahu I can see merit for his price but will have to see where I need my money and would probably rather run a bottom price rookie instead like Ravalawa.
Ditto on this.
I'm not convinced by Hughes and it's quite possible he starts with a couple of 30s. :/
I'm not 100% on CNK either but he's priced cheap enough that he should be OK and won't lose cash at least.

If you are talking straight up bench positions then Lane would have more upside as his ceiling is probably higher by 5-10pts
Though I would imagine you FRF must be stacked if you are carrying him on the bench?
Fifita and Taupau. If I had Lane he'd be my 3rd 2rf (currently Sironen)

Fair enough but wouldn't you be better off playing Taupau as your bench player given his DPP?

Edwards, CNK, Kahu for me, but not really happy.
Not going to be able to afford Tedesco, and Hughes/Watson don't excite me that much

True. Ah Mau is probably more useful - I'd be stuck without FRF backup if I went with Lane.

Currently, I have Calker, CNK, & BMoz. Calker for dependable 40+ scoring and DPP not necessarily as a money maker.
However, I really have an urge to pick Ferguson. At the moment though there is a few things stopping me. I have been burned by my Eels bias before and I never pick wingers as a rule in the WFB position.
However, the guy is a gun and I actually think that in a weaker side he might actually see more ball. He seemed to take a hit up in every set and in the trials and break tackles and I think will see a lot of attacking plays run down his side of the field. He is highly liking to score 40+ most weeks and no-one else owns him.
Has anyone else considered him?

BMoz is going to consistently score at least what he is priced at and some weeks go huge. People will be pissed that they don't have him more weeks than not.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 11
Seems almost everyone is going 3 mid range WFBs. Mine is constantly changing, depending on whether I want to get cash to do other stuff with or not. RTS is looking pretty locked in, likely 1 mid ranger and a rookie.
Trying to do the tricky thing with Xerri at CTR as a loophole until he gets to play. If Seve lands a center spot due to injury to Chambers, that could work well for timing for me to do it. Ideally have Seve drop off after a few price rises, about the same time that Xerri gets his shot.

RTS, CNK + 212k
It has settled down a bit now after trying to force in Tedesco and giving up. Still thinking hard about Edwards. Kahu hanging around as well. Maybe BMOZ...

Yeah it's a tricky one, though ran some maths and the 600k players will take a couple weeks minimum to start pricing upwards.
Depending on TLT I may go 3 cheapies to hedge my bets then ride up to those other players mentioned (Watson/Edwards/Hughes)
All it takes is a try or 2 to kickstart their scoring and then you are paying 50k more for them week 2 if you decided to waiting bringing them in.
You then get a chance to pick which one you want, even if they jump 100k your cashcow probably has too so worst case you haven't lost.
Given my centres are locked in with Capewell/Holland + Nikora then might risk it here but would need about 5-6 decent options to feel comfortable starting the season.

Are you expecting him to get 80 mins including maybe 30 in the middle? It would make some sense, as they would be looking to get Lowe some minutes, maybe bring him on when resting Murray and switch him into Lock during that time.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 11
I would love the wrecking ball Sivo to start for the eels, Hopa for Manly would be awesome too along with Xeri if he gets a wing spot
That would make me run 3 cheapies at WFB to go with a few of the others mentioned
