SMtat is very tempting if he's named to start in the 2nd row, even though he burned me hard in 2017 when was last playing there

I looked at him, doesnt score any better in 2RF than at CTR, which is really unusual. Lots of talented 2RFs at Knights to steal game time from him in game and steal his spot when teams are named.

With Salmon safer to start without, if he does come in in round 2 or later, you can swap him in for whoever dudded it in round 1

I’ll take the gamble on Burns. He is still fairly cheap and from his two 80 min performances he has 43 at wing and 50 in the centres. I also really enjoy watching him play, he is a big strong unit and if he can crack a permanent starting role will be a great player and future star. I am just concerned at how long he has the spot

From memory, he was going off every 2nd game under the HIA rule and swapped between the back row and centres to cover injuries, so it might not have been the best season to determine his potential from.

That said, I don't actually want to buy him. I just hope someone pops up tomorrow because I am completely at a loss.

I'm thinking about downgrading Mahoney to Katoa from the Panthers - saves about $95k and on the face of it they're both relatively raw hookers who could just as easily get 80 mins as they could 40.

Anyone know why Katoa wouldn't be worth a punt as a benchie?
