What is coverage looking like in other positions?

    Team would have looked like

    Macca

    Arrow (c), Murray, Lane
    Morgan, Brown
    Holland, Nikora
    Edwards, CNK, BMoz

    Whitehead, Mahoney, Niukore, Sironen
    Garner, Sele, Keighran, Ravalawa

Covers every position actually. That's surprising.

Why is it a downside for Matterson if he is moving to a team not as good the the Roosters.

Jake Trbojevic, Martin Taupau, Nathan Brown, Robbie Farah were all in the top 10 averaging forwards last year and all missed the 8.
Of the 11-20th ranked forwards, only Tohu Harris played finals.

Elliott Whitehead, Gavin Cooper, Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Shaun Lane all scored a lot of tries as 2nd rowers last year and all missed the 8.

So if you say that Ryan Matterson has moved to a weaker team, my only question is "So what?"

if anything being a better forward in a weaker pack would lead to more fantasy output, not less.

11-20 were Ryan James, Rhys Martin, Daniel Alvaro, Manase Fainu, Jai Arrow, Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Tohu Harris, Aiden Guerra, Josh Papalii, Joseph Tapine

Good point, I will take that on the chin, maybe I was meaning the cronk-less factor. I feel the clunky-ness of the Tigers halves will present less opportunities potentially. Other than not, not the worse pick, just feel a lot of 80 min edge second rowers struggle to get an average much more than 50. So at a price of 46, I don't see as much upside as others. Add HIA issues, the fact that everyone should have Garner, and he won't spend anytime in the middle I would imagine I am avoiding at this stage.
I am in the minority and agree with you Mike. I kind of feel that he was gifted a few of those tries last year, might be harder to come across at the Tigers. He may pick those points up in more defence, but only if he plays 80 imo.  Also very worried about his noggin.

Warriors are set to release a statement regarding Isaiah Papali’i’s suspension. Was driving slightly over the alcohol limit the morning after a music festival. He’s paid a small fine, licence suspended and will be back playing next week.

What a lad. This how our convos need to go when debating players Clap

imo though, I think the major risks for Matterson is not getting as many scoring opportunities (which is still 50/50) and the concussion stuff. Tbh if he was willing to spend so long off the field to get his head right (he opted not to play) I'm pretty sure he feels confident in his fitness. In saying that, weighing up someone who could scor the same at a lower price with less risk is probably my plan

Fifita, Taupau, Taumololo. Looks good. Maybe might try find some room for Tapine too.
Check out his scores for the first 6 rounds last year.

Ok I don't know why I wasn't pro-Gillett before now. His last four years have seen him average between 46-49 and he's priced at 37. Seems like a no-brainer really, and I don't think I will find better value than that elsewhere. Good scorer for the early rounds that will make some money so will be easy to upgrade.

I think I will need to drop RTS for Mansour in my backs though. Already have Teddy, can't afford RTS and all the other value players I'm starting. Not convinced Mansour is going to increase on his current value but I am struggling to find a WFB with more upside for my starting 17 :/.

Yep - just got confirmation of this via a Warriors member email.

Looks like I'm either going to Gillett or Lane, leaning towards the former.

He's coming back off injury and may not be a locked in 80min edge player with the likes of Defeater, Su'A and Glenn there. Bit of a risk but I'd say worth a punt

It's bizarre given how he looked last year and the Titans a building team not exactly loaded with talent.

Wouldn't at all be surprised if other clubs were snooping to offer him a better opportunity if he forces his way out of the club.

Why is this so funny? I struggle to see how he scores more the 45-47 being on an edge. You just have to look at his stats.
What I find funny is you saying that you will pass on Mahoney and that he's not value. Now that's funny.

Thats why I have decided to go with him, no longer needs 80 on an edge to be relevant, can do 50-60 minutes in the middle and get the same score.

The broncos forward pack just scares me. So many quality forwards looking for minutes.

Also questions over his match fitness.

Take a look at what happened to Cam Murray last year when they had a full strength squad.

I really don't think he will play close to 80 minutes. Might be best for a bronco fanatic to offer their 2 cents.

Average of 51. If that's the worst he is going to do then I'm happy just has to have a run of 60+ games and you are laughing.

Yeah I suppose this is the risk. It's a stacked pack and TPJ, Fifita and Su'a all have to fit into it somewhere. Since he usually requires 80 minutes to get his scores, moving to lock may actually reduce his effectiveness fantasy wise. Hmmmmmm

yeah i'm not sure mannnnnnn. It's tempting, but honestly i think Lane is a better option. If he gets 80 at least.
