Tevita Pangai jnr won't play big minutes in the NRL season opener against Melbourne on Thursday night but Anthony Seibold wants the Broncos powerhouse to make a massive impact.

    First line in the article.

While Test and Maroons forward Matt Gillett will play lock, Seibold said he would have a similar role to what he did as an edge back-rower while also supporting the side's young middle forwards.
"If you watch us train, he is still running lead lines and running into space," Seibold said.

    Promising signs for Gillett.

why you do this to me.

I liked my team much more when it had Crichton in it. Now it looks the same as everyone else's.

Its funny how we can see what we want to see some times.

Siebold's quotes don't reference "less" minutes, just making the minutes count, effort areas (he's talked about this all pre-season), etc.

How many minutes is "less" minutes anyway, per the reporters line? 50 minutes could be less minutes, if you had previously had him pencilled in for #13 and a 65 min role.

I am probably trying to make excuses for a poor selection, but I don't really want to re-jig again.

With Jennings and Salmon set to return soon I think Sivo is a trap. I haven't seen Garrick in many teams, is he only in the team until Turbo is back?

I would guess at 40 minutes for him this week.

Honestly, in my head i think, ok he's going to play 2 lots of 20.

OR maybe he comes on after 20, starts the second half. Subbed off at 60 and comes back on somewhere in the 70's.

Either way, the case for gillett looks strong.

You should only have Napa if you think he should be playable each week in your 17. If not you are wasting cash that could be used elsewhere.

I meant Ted, but RTS should go okay. I have neither, going a bit cheaper there.

Well back line was Hughes/edwards/CNK with 353K leftover. But RTS is actually quite cheap and capable of pushing above 50 this year i reckon but then i go back to thinking Hughes who i think will average 45 will peak around 670K making him 170K and RTS who i think will peak around 52 avg (774K) making him 120K. So if going of my predictions hughes has more value RTS has higher ceiling plus will more than likely be there come seasons end wheres Hughes is a future trade.

So hard to make these decisions.

Does that mean he defends in the middle but runs on the edge as a ball playing lock? Would love to see Lolo transition to middle on D and edge on O over the season.

I had this feeling yesterday... "Everyone here is like 18/21 of the same players". Then i thought we are all pretty knowledgable fantasy players here so i guess its a good sign, plus it's almost as much of what you do with the players once they peak and who finish with and so on as much as it is who you start with.

If he comes on at lock his stats there aren't even that great :/ he killed it in the second row.

I'd say Edwards has a higher ceiling. Gillett is probably safer though.
