Bit shitty not having bird, never was in one of my teams. Staggs would be a nice pick up if Roberts our long term.

I don't think we mentioned Koro or Fainua at all. Lol but appreciate the plug.

Ended up throwing Bird in my emergencies. I have host as my 4th reserve but I don't think the 50 is worth replacing him with a red dot. I could get Xerri, Lomax or Haas however there's always the question of what if they don't get a start until mid to late season.

I'm going to quietly sit on the positive that he's made some cash and be happy without being greedy.

For me Big Papi is worth a punt. He's been bought to the club as the best replacement they could get for Klemmer. They're expecting him to be a forward leader and so he should get a bit more minutes/involvement. At the least I hope he'll make some decent cash.

Kahu I'm weary of though. He's never been a particularly high fantasy scorer. I'm starting to come around on dumping him to pick up Braidon Burns. I love my POD's and while he has a small sample size there's enough to suggest he's worth a go.
He made 16 tackle breaks in 5 games last year. Kahu made 19 from 14 games.

Appreciate Birds immediately got us regretting not snapping up his value.

But boys Staggs!! With DPp now relevant. He’s the one we should be talking about. I can already see a Burns to a Staggs move coming for me. He’s awesome.

As for the first match, it says number 1 next to the cash league for me so I assume I’m on top

Looking like the game is going to be played fast and lots of points this season. This years 50 may be last years 40. Scores in round 1 weren't nearly as high last season as in this first game.

I almost went Gillett over Lane. I am not expecting Gillett to score this well every week though. He literally contributed nothing tonight besides being a tackle bot, which is something the Broncos do not want or need. I am hoping he starts in the second row next week or the week after because our forward pack was garbage tonight honestly.

He scored 12 points over what i expected from pure tackles. 21 over his price, How can we not be impressed.

If he shifts expect the added attacking extras to offset lesser tackling performances

I eventually saw it! (Still didn’t get him) but did say if you’re happy with 60-65mins fire Away. Got tick more than that

I think he will revert back to an edge, potentially even next week. Played all his minutes up the guts

Although my hope for him to play 20 in the middle and move wide for Su'a with TPJ coming on still holds

Regardless, his big score first up should keep him above 45 ish average after 5/6 rounds and can see where he is heading. decent cash being made and providing scores well above his starting price
