I fear after not having Bird, not having Kahu is going to have the same result.

Doing that based on how Capewell scores in one game is silly. What happens when Bird stinks next week and Capewell gets a banner?
I'll probably get Bird myself but trading a probable keeper to him based on one game isn't the way to do it.
Have you not heard of trade-rage?

My back 3 is already really light. CNK | Kahu | Sivo
This is my concern, really would like to have enough cash ITB to do 1 trade a based 212k player to bird. I don't see my self chopping anyone else.
Marty > R.James leaves me $157K ITB and can go flegler or garrick to Bird.

At this point I think I'm going to pass on Bird and hope he scores 3 points next week. Im happy with my picks so will see how the round goes.

I remember the last time I chased Bird in 2018 when he scored 45-ish at 5/8 I traded him in and he had multiple awful performances and then I subsequently missed Ramien who scored 8 games in a row
Still salty. So I'm still wary about Bird

I'm wary on Bird too. Just as likely to score 9 for the same game next week. However even if he scores 9 im sure his BE will be in the negatives

The advantage of unlimited trades all weekend is that we can take steps to prepare for next week, so if you can make a trade now that makes next week easier you sooths take advantage of the fact you can make a free trade.
The counterpoint is that we have only seen one game. Everyone talks about trading Bird in. But start if the cows you do have score well too?
What if Jordan Kahu gets a 50 too*, will you trade him in as well? So much can happen in the next 7 games it's crazy to redo your whole team for 1 performance
*As a Kahu owner, please let him score a 50

Sua was rubbish last night. Wonder if his minutes will be under threat.
Personally id have D fifita there. They looked so much better once he came on.
Why is everyone scared with nik now?

Fantasy aside, I think the Broncos really need Gillett on the edge to help Niko out. Su'A had some injury setbacks in pre-season and it showed. Happy to bench him next week, or back to Q Cup for a couple of weeks. Siebold does love him though.

Luckily for me, the best value team that I thought was possible left $135k in the bank. Just enough to upgrade one of my bottom dollar players if I decide thats the best option. I usually never leave gas in the tank, but super glad I have some this time. At this stage any one of my 5 cheapies could be on the chopping block depending on how the rest of the round unfolds.
On the flip side, if the only option was a down grade, I'd be a little cautious. I would have thought people ran with certain guys over Bird for a reason. Does one game change that? Eg if Capewell/Holland/?? score 30, are people seriously going to go to Bird or one performance from each? I'd be a bit cautious of that.

I have a feeling everyone will be trying to find a way to bring John Bateman into their CTR position by round's end. A lock eligible for CTR is pretty crazy.

Probably TPJ lock and Gillet edge.

Interesting one. Don't think he will play enough minutes early on in the season to be a must have.
They have 3 proper middle forwards on the bench + Havili who can fill in at lock.
Don't think he has played lock before either. I don't know alot about him, sounds like he is busy on the field ie fantasy gold. I guess I'm expecting 40 to 45 scores.

I'll wait and see how my team performs before making any final decisions on which cow or bird I'll bring in. Anything can happen right?

Don't think there is really, I just posted a hypothetical "if".
For what it is worth, I'm not that confident in his scoring, but that has been my opinion all along, and I'm often wrong
