Yeah, I know I took that out of context. Just made me chuckle, but that's just me being a dickhead and a bad sport. Great score mate, good start.

Yeah, he was a high point to my average team this weekend, great player, don't think he'll be losing his place if he keeps playing like that.

The sad thing is that my team doesn't look that bad. The only standout poor choices were Taupau captain, playing Sivo over Ravalawa, Holland, and Dedwards. SJ's 36 made all that much worse due to people playing Keighran in their 17.

    FML.

This season will be won and lost on trade burning (saving), earning and bye planning so all still ahead of us and you’re one of the better managers on here, onwards and upwards pal

941 for me and 61, 40, 38, 30 from my EMGs too so can’t ask for much more. Funny how you can do well but still be annoyed by a few letdowns and want to use/likely waste trades on them

How aggressively do you guys use your trades early? Only my second year and last year I barely knew the rules at this point. Go for cash or save trades unless necessary?

Holland and arrow my only players not to beat their BEs but will probably give both another week

Just don’t want to miss key cows like lawrie, or likely cut price borderline keepers like Bateman and Gillett

Thanks Chewie! You had a good week too from what I’ve seen?

Rough that some guys on here who give such great advice and analysis have had some bad luck so far but there will be plenty of swings and roundabouts to come

Generally you use a bunch of trades in the early rounds to trade out some failed cows and get the cows you missed.

Arrow should come good, once he gets some more attacking stats he'll be gunning it in no time. You can keep Holland as well, but Bateman does look tempting as a luxury replacement.

Thinking of bringing in 2 of Taumalolo, Bateman and Friend.

Which 2 do you reckon has most upside considering cash generation and being able to keep up with their week 1 scores?

Yeah my plan was to go hard early to make sure I get the key cows. My team is full of mid rangers who largely did well so hard to pick a candidate to drop really other than kahu (who I can put in EMGs for RAV4)

Still hard to resist the urge to jump on lawrie, bird, Bateman, Gillett etc

You arent buying any of them for cash generation, all are keepers for the season

The funniest thing he said this weekend was trying to convince his co-commentator that they had changed the rules from last season and you could now tackle a defender in the air when catching a ball. Dick head.

geez tough crowd. I would have been stoked with 894 if you offered it to me before the round began, and somehow i find myself languishing at rank 7734!

Radley, Holland, Edwards and Kahu* my only slackers
*though I am not sure this is fair on a man who beat his BE

Definitely giving Edwards another shot, probably Kahu too.
Would have definitely given Holland another chance but I fear the emergence of Bateman has made that an impossible task. Can't see him dropping back down to this ~$600k price again all season so have to snap him up now. Would have resisted Bird and Capewell to keep Holland otherwise.
Tempted by Burns to play in WFB3, shifting Kahu to the bench
Will not be able to miss Lawrie if he takes a starting role. Hopefully not at the expense of Radley, because I would be keen to give him another crack, but I will do what I must for Lawrie
