    I'm thinking of going:
Holland out - J. Bird in
    Sele out - Lawrie in

Sele had to go since he got injured & Lawrie will benefit by staying in the 17 with Frizell out. I watched Holland & he doesn't look 100% fit & J. Bird seems back on track & with J. Roberts out his edge may see more ball.

I think the only logical thing here is for our Chewie to challenge this wookie to solo combat using ryyk blades. Winner inherits the Chewbacca title, loser becomes a madclaw.

Who is this pretender you speak of?

If you don't have any more pressing issues I would go for it. But that's because I would have comfortably taken CNK over Morris to start with.

I learnt a few years ago the value of keeping spare cash for dud removals. It was Nathan Green (I had to look it up to remember) who won the starting back-row spot at Manly but he sucked and was benched the next week while Paul Carter had stood out as a cash cow though not quite bottom priced.

I had spare cash, snapped him up and got rid of a dud. I save things for a rainy day.

    The Good:

    Mahoney
    Fifita (C)
    Taumololo
    Murray
    Keighran
    Nikora
    Burns
    Garner
    Lane
    Niukore
    Roache
    Lawrie
    Burr
    Ravalawa

    The Meh:

    Tapau
    Arrow
    DBrown

    Letdowns:

    Holland
    Watson
    Edwards
    Sivo

I would be inclined to sit tight but from what I saw this weekend I think I can hopefully lock in two keepers JBateman>Holland and MMorgan>Watson. Will have to roll the dice on playing Ravalawa.

    Nice reasoning mate.

And it shouldn't cost the earth either. Will strongly consider this (definitely for cash generation)

I was talking up Lawrie as the big winner from no JDB pre season. Gutted he didn't just score 30 points so everyone would stay away haha. You see, KSims replaced LAM. No JDB, another middle forward picks up the minutes. Lawrie>Latimore also.
Lawrie would have played 35-45 minutes all season with Frizell in the team anyway. That's why I chose him over Host to start with, this injury to Frizell helps Host more than Lawrie so I think Host also becomes an option now.

Might seem drastic but with all the CTR coverage available to teams, currently starting Holland/Burns and have Nikora/Capewell on the bench.

    Would a Holland/Sele > Lawrie/Host be a good trade?

Napa to Lawrie if he looks like making some good cash while Friz is out or maybe Mikaele. Holland to Bateman because a busy forward is definitely going to outscore a centre in a potential wooden spoon team.

I hope TLT chats are still a thing on NRL.com because I'll have a decision to make for the week.

Im looking at the exact same two moves. I had an average round by the looks in terms of scoring 17 (879), but my whole 21 was pretty solid with Host, Keighran, Brown, and Ravalawa in the EMGs. So all I have to potentially trade IMO are Holland and Napa. Hard to pass up an 80 minute lock so I'll look to get Bateman in (for Holland) and then I'll see what I can afford as the best CC to downgrade Napa to. I have $135k though and Im not sure if I'll be able to afford it....

PSO: This is week one. We don't trade players in or out on one score.

This is why I usually watch most games. I get to see how the players are used or where there points were earned or lost. For example, an attempted tackle on a try scorer would end up as a MT but could have easily been a TS. I'm more forgiving of those than some weak middle defence. But without watching the game, you can't work out whether the stats reflect what's on the field.

I have a trade headache already... Fml. Looks like

    Glasby - > Lawrie
    Holland - > Bird

Both make money and should score well.

Bateman did look very good I have to admit & who can resist an 80 minute lock who has a ctr classification but he was moved out to the backs when Simonsson went off injured with cramp.

All those sweating on Arrow, he had the 5th highest score of the game. It was a pretty average fantasy game overall. He'll come right. Just don't give him the C

Hey, any Kiwis out there not able to view the highlights on NRL.com? Im positive I could view them last year, now Im being geoblocked.

I dont get to watch many of the games so love to be able to watch the highlight come Monday when I back hard at work for the week Wink

Can anyone help with an alternative site for viewing the highlights? Or help an old man (in tech terms) with a good VPN solution?

    Cheers win advance!

My trade targets from the games I saw:

    Michael Morgan
    John Bateman
    Gillett
    Staggs
    Bird
    Host

Just looking at the fullbacks scores. Tries certainly make a difference to their scores. Oates (2 tries), RTS (1 try), Hiku (1 try), Mcdonald (1 try), Hughes (1 try), Johnston (1 try), Pereira (1 try).
Only players 40 points or more that didn't score tries was Moylan, Hopoate and CNK.

Braidon Burns (39 points) certainly has some value in the fullback fantasy position.

You would be laughing if you had RTS, CNK and Burns. That's why I am a little inclined to give Watson and DEdwards another week, only takes a try to turn it around.

Thanks man, so NRL on Nine the best option by the looks. Cheers.
