This is my issue, only dud scorers were Radley, Holland, Tedesco, Edwards. Who i'll likely keep

Sivo + Garrick were R1 duds, but base so not making any cash there. I will probably have to downgrade Holland/Radley to kick start some money making against what I want to do

I need to trade out B Brailey - is Host or Mikaele a viable option? Are they worth the trade?

100%! Once I'd decided to start with Friend over Mahoney at the cost of no $ left over, chances are this was going to happen.

Not bad trades mate. I’m all for using a chunk of trades early to make cash

Bird has better job security obviously but host cheaper and decent chance of outscoring bird over the next month

I prefer B too, though I’m not so sure about any of them to be honest, if it means moving Glasby on. I’d have thought he be worth keeping around for a while?

I'd shortlisted Glasby at the start of the season with the new role, but when I saw the bunch of FRFs they had, I assumed the minutes may have been spread. Big Herman didn't even get a run did he?

DPP is handy, but he gave a similar outcome to Host for the time being for a lot less.

Bear in mind, my advice is worth jack - I'm not even willing to share the trade I've made today with the assumption that its going to make or break the season this early - lets say I didn't hav a big warcheast to spend on getting Bateman in...

Other then Sivo and Garrick who won’t make any money, I have Edwards and Holland who dudded this week, don’t really want to downgrade either of them. If bird can keep up 35’s I am happy to downgrade holland to bird for some cash, move Burns to WFB and trade Edwards to Bateman in the centres with 134K itb? Thoughts?

    Pretty much
    Holland + Edwards (94k itb)
    Trade for
    Bird + Bateman (134k itb)

Gives me cash generation and points

EDIt: only thing is garrick and Sivo stink up my NPR’s for another week

Leaning towards A.. means I forgo some decent players though

A for me. We are all scrambling to get Bateman but he won’t all of a sudden be out of reach after a game against the storm

The cash you’d likely make from those cows helps by covering the cost of another look at Bateman. I missed the game though so is everyone convinced but me?

I'm cautiously optimistic Bird can keep up the 35s. The bulk of his points came off the TA to Oates. How many times did we see Oates diving over in the corner last year. Commentators were hob nobbing over how Rabbitohs that particular backline movement looked. I'm hoping that this will be bread and butter for the left side attack.

Plus, Bird fancied himself as a ball playing back rower right? He should have the hands to be dishing up some decent assists.

    A) Holland and Edwards for Bird and Bateman (134k)
    B) Holland for Bird/Lawrie (204k/213k)
    C) Holland and Garrick for Bird and Lawrie (102K)
    D) no trade

    Thoughts?

I probably haven’t post in over the better part of a year, but part of me feels I should be more of a contributor around here. I make time for other parts of my day, so why not an hour or so here?

With that introduction complete, here is where my team, Wontonamo Baygulls, sits after one round. My current ranking is 1464 after a score of 914. My team is as follows:

    Cook
    Tolman, Fifita
    Taupau, Murray, Gillett
    Keighran, Morgan
    Holland, Nikora
    CNK, Kahu, Burns

    Lane, Mahoney, Garner, Capewell

    Bird, Brown, Tatola, Rava

I don’t see any major adjustments that need to be made. Someone mentioned a possible trade I’m also considering, and that is Tatola>Lawrie. I’m close to pulling the trigger on this one, just need to, as always, weigh the pros and cons of this decision. Neutral

Not true, I remember you because of the awesome name.

I like Host more than Lawrie but honestly with some more minutes Tatola is a chance of 40+ game. It's a flip of a coin even though I am making the same trade

    C.

Despite me saying to get Bateman at lowest price possible. I wouldn't give up on Dedwards yet.
