Haha. I'm guilty. I didn't like Arrow's minutes and although I acknowledge they might not be representative I feel like trading Arrow to Bateman and then Holland to Gillett serves me a lot better. It 100% could be a repeat of trading CS9 out last year but that's what happens sometimes!

I'd be far more inclined to keep a WFB like Teddy just because their scores are more variable than I am a forward who isn't filling the role I was expecting for them.

I could honestly talk myself back into it, the real bonus for me in making the trade, is it allows me to turn Garrick into someone who is going to make money immediately (Lawrie).

I remember a few years ago JDB came out round 1 and gunned it with a 91 including a try, everyone moved heaven and earth to get him in but then he went on to average below 50 in the next 5 games.

1 bad score from Gillett or Bateman halts the money making and given they are both around $600K they won't get out of reach.

However if I could go Holland to Bateman in one trade I think we have probably seen enough to run with it.

I think that is the really important thing - how are you spending the cash you free up by trading Arrow to Bateman? If the second trade stacks up then it feels like trading Arrow is more palatable.

I’m happy with all my forwards at the moment, and my bench is strong enough. All this talk of host and Lawrie makes me think I’m missing out, I don’t have either. Is it worth going someone like Sivo or horsburg to either of them if it’s just for money making?

Trouble is, as opposed to WFBs and Cs, guys playing 60+ minutes at lock, barring injury, tend to have a pretty high floor, so a bad score for these two is probably 40, all else equal. By my calculations while that will slow things down a bit, it won't halt the money making.

Neither are gonna be out of reach, I agree, but the thing with both of these two is that not only are they making money, they double as great scorers for your 17 too.

I've gone back and forth a few times in my team and I keep landing on doing what I need to to get Bateman in.

I'll deal with figuring out how to find the money for Teddy and Crichton next. Following that Tolo and Taupau on my watch list as you'd figure they will be the biggest round 12 targets if you dont have them (being keepers and all)

With that in mind and given my current team, I can total see how giving up Arrow is going to be a consideration. Im glad I dont have to seriously entertain it after 1 week, but at the end of the day, you do what you need to do to max value at these early stages!

Waddell - wait and see.
Staggs - gun, wish JRoberts was out.

Game day and like many I need to decide today as trades may involve Canberra asssets

A: Holland to lawrie, kahu to CNK. Lawrie to EMG or bench, Nikora to centres
B: Holland to Lawrie, lane to Bateman, Ravalawa plays on the wing and have some money ItB to build for picking up Tedesco/Crichton in a few weeks
C: Just lane to Bateman and wait for meatier cows, kahu vs ravalawa for the wing spot
D: hold the trades

Anyone got some wisdom for me?
