    Rts, turbo, cnk

Basically choosing between arey and turbo.

I would say Turbo is a keeper in WFB, but it might be hard to judge what you expect him to average given Warriors were utter shit on the weekend and he won't be getting 2T 2TA every week

I like the look of ARey under Bennett - plenty of KM, easy draw in coming weeks, plays R12 if not selected for Origin (don't think he will - would say Cleary/Keary could be partnership). Is he going to be a final 17 keeper though??

I feel like Arey might not be everyone’s ideal final 17 keeper, but if you put him in now, and trades run short you wouldn’t be unhappy having him there. He’d be the best compromise out there.

Missed the last thread and no doubt the post game Bateman talk.  But fuck me, that was a tremendous Fantasy performance.  Even went 20 minutes in the 2nd Half where he scored about 8 points.  That brings me to my question:

I honestly reckon about 80% of the Raiders attack and 80% of the Knights attack went down his side.  Am I right or am I making excuses for not bringing him in?

I'm giving him a miss. Priced at 46 there is not a long list of edge second rowers that have posted 50+ averages. In the last 2 years we have had 3 occurrences

2018 Crichton, 2018 Rhys Martin(limited games), 2017 Crichton. While Bateman looks a terrific prospect I don't think his scoring is sustainable and you will be able to buy him pretty close to his current price once the huge score rolls out

Why wouldn’t his score be sustainable? No try’s yet, not crazy attacking stats etc

10 tbs, 200 metres and 2 lb seems pretty crazy attacking stats to me

It’s completely fine on its own, even if only slightly better than sideways, but the real strength of the move comes from you being likely to go Gillett to Crichton next week, unless Crichton does a Teddy and smashes up his high BE

Which 1 of Sivo (Sharks H), Garrick (Souths H), Ravalawa (Knights A) would you play in Burns' absence

I'm actually leaning towards Garrick - which side of South's defence/attack would he face at #5

9tbs. But even if you halve it, he still scoring that 55avg. For a player that has played multiple positions, in a new team/comp I think he looks along way from slowing down. I also don’t buy into the argument of ignoring a players stats to justify an expectation they might not do well.

But each to their own. Everyone’s got opinions

This is good news. Maybe Gillett goes back to being 80 minute. I also see Gillett going into the middle for TPJ at some point. I’ll be happy with his 45 this week, then he can go

A 90 score is not sustainable, but he's going to be a 50+ scorer (at least until I bring him in). He's the perfect fantasy mold. Tackles everything well and can bust a tackle or two. It's either miss him now and hope for a couple of mediocre scores, or get him and ride him up the next $100k.

The decision for me is whether to bring in Teddy too. But tbh, if I can manage to field 3 WFB I'll miss him this week.

Thanks. Yeah, Gillett is on 'notice' period. I expect him to play this week on the edge so its wait and see approach.

If he doesn't fire, hopefully he attains his BE at least to felicitate the Crichton move next week.

I am also looking at Finucane. Are there any reason why he would't keep his average of 55? Hasn't scored any tries either.

Based on what we have seen I will probably be wrong. But in that price bracket I would prefer Teddy, Crichton, Ponga and don't have to cash for all +Bateman

Stimson back moves KBrom into the middle rotation instead of a 14 minute Seve or a 28 minute Tui Kamikamica

I’d take Crichton over Bateman at current price point but think Bateman goes over 50 in long run!

    Don’t have the cash yet....

I think Batemans availability in ctr makes him a much more valuable prospect. But it does come down to your long term plan. Crichton only really came good in the last half of the year last year, slow start this year due to minutes. His scores are guaranteed to improve I reckon he can wait. Basically same story for Tedesco.

On the Cartwright talk- Are people expecting S. Boyd to be dropped to the bench permanently? Boyd's attitude was questioned and he played much better.

I personally think Titans looked better with Boyd playing off the bench but I dont see their marquee player sitting on the pine too long.
