What's the world coming to, I'm actually tempted by Bryce Cartwright.

DPP, good cash to make if he keeps a starting back row spot which may be likely given Brennan loves him for whatever reason. However he's a demerit point machine.

I must be crazy because right now I'm thinking grab Cartwright and get Xerri next week which is ludicrous.

Just personally I think it's like Katoa. If he doesn't score you get an 18. And at 520k that's alot of coin when you could be running the gauntlet with someone 200k cheaper.

Just my thoughts, trust your gut.

At some point his tries will dry up for a period. Are you willing to put up with some poor scores for that time?

I get the sentiment but I don't think he's anything like Katoa. Katoa has weak B+P stats while Pereira has really good B+P.

Either way my gut tells me Pereira as the Dragons have a good draw and Norman is pretty good at feeding his wingers.

Base + Power stats in the 30s is worthwhile to me, plus the Dragons have a great draw. He's not a season long keeper though, but I think he's a decent stepping stone to a gun WFB.

Brimson not scaring people off Rein? Mahoney could be the better choice. Agree on Ponga as a cheaper option to Teddy, but surprised by the lack of love for Munster at the same price albeit without the DPP.

His scores without tries are around 30 though. His TBs have been impressive though, 5,6,5. Pretty consistent

Trying to figure out who goes for Xerri?

    Brown, Host??

Host lets me do that loop thing with the WFBs, Brown provides a bigger cash injection and that injury sounds worrisome. Thoughts lads?

Go for it, I really like him as a player. For those who don't know, the Willagee Bears over here are a very proud club, but have struggled BIG TIME in all grades for decades now. So great to see a guy come up through their system.

Just on his base stats, are you counting TB's as base stats? I don't know what the breakdown of his TB's are in his tries this year, but if he is making those TB's when returning the ball then you have a case to maybe include them. But generally TB's as base stats can be very misleading.

If your gut is saying do it then do it.

Last year he averaged 31 as winger. Currently priced well above that, so can't see how he is value unless he keeps the tries coming, but if you like him then go for it.

Better to make your own choice and live and die by its results than to follow advice on here and see it all go pear shaped.

How many red dots? Looping is maximized with 1 or 2 red dots. If you have 3 you lose loopability.

No one worried about McIllwrick getting a bench spot?

No, they need hooker cover in case there is an injury to Mahoney

I mentioned Base + Power stats which includes TBs and OLs. He does seem to come in looking for work though so I suspect plenty of his TBs aren't from tryscoring plays.

The deceptive thing is that often 1 or 2 TBs when you score a try would be nothing when you don't score a try, just a standard tackle.
