Just personally I think it's like Katoa.  If he doesn't score you get an 18.  And at 520k that's alot of coin when you could be running the gauntlet with someone 200k cheaper.

Just my thoughts, trust your gut.

His scores without tries are around 30 though. His TBs have been impressive though, 5,6,5. Pretty consistent

Looks like a lot of his TB's aren't from tries, which is a good sign. But at the end of the day base stats for the vast majority of players are tackles and meters gained. Periera averages 18 a game in true base stats. Up to Bethany, but just saying has to expect those 15's and 20's that all wingers can throw up.

Mansour, Radradra and maybe a couple of others have been the only Wingers to manage to maintain what Periera has done the last 3 weeks over the course of a season in the last 5 or so years.

Just worked out that RJames and Grand Angus will be within 100k of Mahoney next week.
Will probably pick up RJames first for FRF (if he stays at prop)

This is my concern with brining in rein. How many minutes will be pinched off him.

Mahoney looked knackered after an hour last week. Don't think he ready for 80 minutes, personally but have a lot more to fix than a 40-averaging hooker who's not going to lose any money.

Kikau being back this week should make a huge difference for Panthers. Last season he came off the bench and totally turned around lots of games that they were losing, single handedly.

James with his DPP and if he remains at FRF is golden, I like it

I actually just realised that if I sell AK down to Xerri, I can get Teddy in that way for Dedwards so I guess no Pereira then. I still rate him but I was only gonna buy as a stepping stone to a gun WFB.

How many halves do you have playing this week if you do that?

Go for it, I really like him as a player.  For those who don't know, the Willagee Bears over here are a very proud club, but have struggled BIG TIME in all grades for decades now.  So great to see a guy come up through their system.

Just on his base stats, are you counting TB's as base stats?  I don't know what the breakdown of his TB's are in his tries this year, but if he is making those TB's when returning the ball then you have a case to maybe include them.  But generally TB's as base stats can be very misleading.

If your gut is saying do it then do it.

I mentioned Base + Power stats which includes TBs and OLs. He does seem to come in looking for work though so I suspect plenty of his TBs aren't from tryscoring plays.

I've had a look at his Tries this year and you are right, the majority of his TB's are not coming from them. But neither were Katoa's in the first 2 Rounds. In fact I've got Katoa as not being touched in one of them and another was a Penalty Try so no TB at all. Yet he has 15 TB's in those first 2 games, then last week, scored 12 points in total.

I think all Milchy and I are saying is that unless he is something really special eg Mansour/Radrdra circa a few years ago then you are going to probably get some shockers out of him.

Two, got both Morgan and Munster with DBrown to be potentially sold to CHT next week.

Also Trade thoughts from anyone that has some time.

    I'm thinking either

    Gillett -> Cartwright
    Edwards -> Tedesco

    or just

    Keighran to Cartwright

    Team before trades is:

    Macca
    Fifita, Lawrie
    Murray, Arrow, Gillett
    Cleary, Morgan
    Bateman, Nikora
    CNK, Edwards, Burns

    Rein, Garner, Capewell, Bird
    Brown, Keighran, Ravalawa, Sivo

    Any thoughts?

If you have to sell Gillett to get Teddy, do it, but don't get Carty, he is a T R A P. Get Xerri in instead and play Capewell or Garner in the back row.

    Basically your best bet is:

If you can afford it, AK to Xerri and Dedwards to Teddy
If not, then Gillet to Xerri and Dedwards to Teddy

Brown's monitoring period is six to eight weeks according to the cumberland throw. I think that is too long to hold him

Do i trade in Rein or Bateman?

Also cant hold Edwards anymore. Would rather play both my wingers and get 10's then play Edwards and get 10's + -$50k.

Team for the week so far

    (C)ook
    Surges, Tolman
    Arrow, Garner, Murray
    Morgan, Tavita-Harris
    Bird, Nikora
    Sivo, Nicoll-Klokstad, Ravalawa

    Farah, Mahoney, Bateman/Rein, Keighran
    Gillett, Lawrie, Host, Brown

Im guessing that if Tavita-Harris bombs they will just bring Keighran back in so ill hold him. And for now as long as ive got him might as well use him to loop for Gillett/Lawrie depending on what Gillett gets. losing hope in him.

Yeah only a 41k bank means I need to double trade to Tedesco or give up Macca. Everything feels very sideways at the moment. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Ak->xerri (sell capewell nextweek)
    Burns->Rein (second hooker)

I have the luxury of cleary and morgan and hughs if need be i can play instead of 1, 2 of garrick sivo or rava

    Macca
    Fifita
    Tapau
Lane(he will run hard lines this week for a double)
    T.Turb
    Murray
    cleary
    Morgan
    Xerri
    nikora
    cnk
    hughs
    Sivo

    Garner
    Napa
    Capewell
    Rein

    ravalava
    kahu(i guess hold him)
    Garrick
    Brown

Do i still have loop possibility with my wfbs even though brown is my dot? Scout out kahu then swap or am i wasting my time with him?

I decided to go Keighren to Cartwright and Friend to Rein.

This leaves me with Ravalava and Sivo in WFB this week but I will not be the only one. I will also have close to 400k to play with next week for some juicy upgrades

I could have brought Ponga in this week, however, a score of 50 will have him lose around 25k and a score of 28 for Ravalava will result in a gain of the same amount. I think this is the best long term move I can make

It's week 4. Still got 21 rounds to go so good plan. I'm going to lose my H2H this week but I know if I'll screw my team just to win which is pointless.
