    Feel like throwing my thoughts out to everyone while i procrastinate at work on this fine Thursday;

    NRL Round 4 Stormtroopers Tips

    Roosters v Broncos
All week up until yesterday I have had Roosters booked in. Now with no Friend and no JWH and Broncos with their full strength pack coming off a bitter loss to the Dragons, I feel the Roosters will lose it in the middle and Broncos edge will finish it off. I feel Friend and JWH are much bigger losses than Roberts is, especially when someone like Staggs who has a quick toe and really smart for his age is there to replace him.

    Warriors v Titans
After Titans narrow loss to the Bunnies last week I think that would have given them a load of confidence knowing they can go that close to one of the benchmark teams this year. The return of Roberts and Taylor will help control the field a lot more. Warriors have not had the same 17 all year I think and this can be seen on the field. Although this is a home game i think Titans can get the job done.

    Panthers v Tigers
First home team win for me this week. Panthers will be reeling at the fact they have the big unit that is Kikau back and a hopefully 100% fit Yeo. With Tamou, RCG and JFH completing the middle that pack sounds pretty scary. Tigers coming off a loss will be tough to beat but i feel Panthers will have a lot more to prove to a home team.

    Sea Eagles v Rabbitohs
This sounds a lot harder than it looks. Sea Eagles were very impessive last week in their win against the Warriors and Rabbitohs looked sluggish last week after two big wins over the Roosters and Dragons. Rabbitohs are flying and going too good for me to look away here. Rabbitohs to go 4/4 for me.

    Cowboys v Raiders
Been a bit back and forth for this one. Cowboys really lacked some oomph in attack last week and i am not sure where they will find it. Although I am a bit hesitant to tip the Raiders in the Townsville heat at this time of year they actually look really good to start the year. Cowboys lost what I thought would've been a closer game last week. I think they will bounce back in a bag way but Raiders will get the job done on what should be a dry track.

    Parramatta v Sharks
Parramatta look a vastly different side this year and really took it to the reigning premiers last week. On that note, that would've been a massive work effort for them and taken a lot out of them. It will really prove to their resilience if they can bounce back with a similar effort this week. I think it took too much out of them and the Sharks will be rolling from their big win last week and Xerri is a talent. He will have a big game.

    Storm v Bulldogs
Can't go past an unblemished record by my boys this year at home against the Bulldogs. Fun Fact: Bulldogs are the only team in the NRL with a winning record against the Storm. Although coming off a nice win, Storm will get the job done here.

    Knights v Dragons
This is tough... really tough. Browny has finally gained consciousness and put the 2019 QLD Fullback back to his best position; however, Dragons claimed a nailbiting win over a lacklustre Broncos side. Is this the switch the Dragons needed or was it a lucky win over a poor Broncos side. With Pearce and Lino running the park and Ponga hopefully back to his best I think the Knights will want to make it 2 from 3 at home and will get a hard earned W.

Nope, sadly not this week. I do have Friend, but I don’t have Bateman and I can’t let another week go without him, so that’s locked in. Otherwise, I was originally going to punt Mahoney for Rein until the halves shitfire erupted.

So Mahoney was an option, but with the possibility of him playing 80 I’d like to hold another week, and more to the point, he still doesn’t get me near a Ponga or Munster pricetag.

The thing about swapping out Brown for CHT is that it hopefully gives me a bank balance to work with next week so that I can afford Ponga.

I’ve played pretty safe so far this year and been elbowed in the balls the last two weeks, so happy to see if taking a risk pays off. Wink

I agree too, not sure where Matt is getting this whole - "it's Reynolds team now" thing from.

Cook will up his fantasy production fullahs, but heck he is averaging 56. I wouldn't be selling, but hey, I need to rise in the rankings so by all means lads....

Maybe he is losing some cash so he can trade Rein to himself later down the track.

Arrow needs more than 50 minutes. Look at how he scored at the back end of last year with those minutes. Shithouse.

    Right, gotcha

And I don't mean long term, just this game cheer

Yes, that would be highly ideal.

I was so content early this week, but how ugly it turned.

I think I have Brown to Chanel and Burns to Rein locked in.

I could go for Carty but just cant do it. Enjoy the party without me! Sad

If Brown really is out for that long I'll have to reverse my Bateman trade and bring Carty in. Need players making money and he won't be doing anything useful not playing

Kid is young and talented. Being young he should heal pretty quickly. Eels will be doing everything to get him back out there.

We talked about it on the podcast this week as it was a question (i think by Filth?) and both agreed that it actually seems like a genuine option. Obviously there is a bit of unknown there, only 3 games in the NRL (1 game in the 2nd Row), but so far you've seen consistent scoring with the ability to go big. All the things you want in a Captain. Pretty Balls mind you, think I'll stick with my boring choices like Smith.

Anyone follow NBA? Russell Westbrook got 20 points, 20 rebounds, 20 assists in his game yesterday. Its the equivalent of a 200 point NRL fantasy game. Only been done one other time in NBA history, by Wilt Chamberlain in 1968. He stated he was going to do it in this game, then went out and did it. Unreal!

Yeah, I watched it yesterday (at work!)

He is in my sportsdeck NBA dreamteam - scored 49 points. Some context - he averages 30+ (gun level) and the 49 includes large minus points from missed shots (lots) and a couple of turnovers. He is not my captain Sad
