Or is it looking at it through fantasy lenses? I've skipped cartwright not necessarily because I think he will score poorly, but because I don't trust him to hold down a spot. He was dropped for shithouse defence, unless that's drastically improved its going to stand out and get him dropped again. In which case 3-4 weeks from now you're looking for a new trade all over again and it's like the ctrs of old, hopping from one cow to another using all your trades. Maybe I'm just being too cynical though.Milchy wrote:
It's actually recency bias. People are ignoring a strong history of scoring in his position because last year he had some poor scores (often with a different role)
People did it with Jack Bird as well. Everyone ignored his strong history of scoring well at centre because of a couple of poor games last year.

As for Cartwright. The more teams that have him the better. He’s a cat and his true colours will show soon. I guarantee we’ll be hearing the “why the fuck did I get this arsehole” soon.

Broncos forum is in meltdown mode with all the armchair experts throwing all their opinions in the air.
Milford would not be the answer at full back. He no longer has the build, speed or fitness to play that position. He looks over weight and unfit to me.

Surely you’d be leading the armchair expert charge? Fuck the Broncos.

I think the key to Carty is 80 mins, every week.
Not many 80 min 2rf’s average below 40. Certainly not below 35 which I think would be the minimum you’d want if you were buying him.
The question is does he play well enough to hold his spot.
Personally Matthews is a concern, because even at 60mins for me Carty is not worth it.

I said before the game how is Boyd a professional league player. Every week he saunters in defence and blames everyone from a distance for not saving a try or blames someone for not catching his shit pass

They're both going. Lane went earlier due to his price.Welshy wrote:

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 27
Any potential for backline changes for Broncos which move Bird to 5/8 or closer to the ball?
Would that help or hinder him do you reckon (if Milford 1, Bird 6, Nikorima/Rookie 7, Macca 9 and Boyd is dropped with Nikorima 14 if Rookie HLF)? His trolling of 2018 in my team was off the back of him being at 5/8 but he looks like a btter player this year and is getting more involved

I agree that Carty does need the 80mins, he will still make some cash at 60 mins, but not sure if it's worth the trade.Syzy wrote:I think the key to Carty is 80 mins, every week.

Hopefully one of the cheapie halves does well this week for a potential cash making boost. I'm bringing in one cheapie this coming week, and I'm expecting it to be Xerri , but if a rookie half does well...

Why no talk on Salmon? I'm getting cold feet on Carty, if Brown is out for a while, Salmon could go okay. seems like a good footballer.
