Thanks heaps guys for answering my question, great points throughout the podcast

Decided to run with the Carty Party and then get Rein next week for Whitehead (because I'm genuinely sick of the sight of him in my team - 23 in 80 mins last week was shocking, but I must have misread the stats in preseason because his stats in preseason without tries were average, poor preseason pick)

Noticed my team has bit better balance on 14-17 without Rein this week and Ponga will likely be a similar price in 2 weeks which can be held by my cheap WFBs in the meantime while Carty will likely stay in 17 in HLF or on bench

Whitehead is a funny one, in hindsight it probably seems like a silly pick but honestly he's very similar to a lot of those great Pommies (Bateman included) in that he has skills beyond the norm for his position, so he can score quite well. I wouldn't beat yourself up over the pick, i almost started with him and only changed after watching the trials. The tricky part about him though is which side of the field he plays as well as how he gets those points in his scores.

He isn't likely to get a tonne of TB's but he's got the ball playing ability to set up the guys outside him, when paired with Leipana it can mean some good LBA's, TA's and even a try or two himself from backing up inside. Conversely, the left side of the field is Wighton's preferred side for the sweep play when he played FB (and seems to hold true in the halves) and he does love a good cutout when he isn't challenging the line himself. With some time, they could perhaps develop some chemistry that would see Elliot run a good line for the late short ball, but its not there yet.
He can also get through a tonne of tackles, but as a 2nd rower its dependent on where teams are directing their traffic. Our right edge tended to leak more points traditionally, so when on that edge he had more opportunity to make the tackles as every team identified this and ran at it. The other thing stifling him a bit this year is that CNK hasn't shown the greatest passing game, instead he takes on the line himself (to good effect), so it limits the opportunity he gets with the ball. I do think Sam Williams tends to give better, earlier ball to his outside men however, so that might be a little help. I guess what I'm saying is it wasn't a terrible pick and there is every chance he could score well this week for you, limiting the money/scores lost until you can make the trade.

About the only bloody name you got right! Laughing

Nah you're definitely sounding very comfortable and confident on there these days Random, noticeable improvement since week 1. Next trick is to do the same with your team Wink

Good podcast guys, genuinely like it. Trains of thought and conundrums familiar to us all come out, very easy on the ears.

Yeah youtube is funny with their audio. I need to look more into other platforms that it's easy to upload MP4 onto for podcasts and such to create some variety. Cheers for the wraps guys, and at least my Fantasy team beats Welshys.

If you google YouTube to mp3, there are sites that will let you download it.

But it would be easier if you guys could get it set up to download via podcast apps in the first place.

I wonder how cost-neutral that would be as a solution... Spotify and Apple arent charities.

Side idea - give each episode a name, rather then #1, #2, #3, #4 etc. Just something that references the episode chat / guests - "#4 - Carty Party" this week for example.

Filth asked last week if you had received my cassette tape recording yet but no answer so I'm assuming it still hasn't arrived?
