How would you rank these players in order of importance to bring in: Okunbur, CHT, Rein, Ponga

Is Rein still a must to bring in with Mahoney playing 80 mins on the weekend (would you put Ponga in front of him to bring in)

    Team (27k ITB)
    Cook
    Fifita Tolman
    Arrow Murray Bateman
    Morgan Cartwright
    Bird Nikora
    Tedesco CNK Sivo

    Mahoney Whitehead Garner Lawrie
    Garrick Ravalawa Brown Keighran

My team is very inflexible, I'm noticing with the players on the chopping block being Brown, Keighran, Whitehead and maybe Bird and Lawrie to fund other moves in a couple of weeks

    Trade options are:
    (1) Double cash cow of Brown + Keighran to CHT + Okunbur (Whitehead to Ponga next week)
    (2) Brown + Whitehead to Xerri + Ponga
    (3) Brown + Whitehead to CHT + Moses (still have to play one of cheap WFBs)

This week's likely trades for me:

    Croft > Ponga
    Keighran > CNKlockface

Means I can finally stop playing both Rava and Sivo in the 17. Could even avoid both but only Host and Garrick remain - think I'll stick Sivo at 17.

Anyone think it's too late to bring in CNK?

CHT made 24 tackles which is pretty good for someone who is mainly an attacking type of half. He's much better in attack than Keighran too. He looked solid on the weekend, just hope he doesn't stink it up the next 2 games ala Keighran.

Good advice thanks, was thinking that way too. Going to go Hughes > Ponga as my 2nd trade. Hughes has been solid, but hasn't had the breakout game I have been looking for that Ponga is going to provide.

After trades this week will have:
    Rein
    Fifita (C) AFB
    Bateman Arrow Taupau
    Moses Brown (loop)
    Xerri Burns (loop)
    Ponga CNK Katoa

    Mahoney Nikora Lawrie Murray
Garner Sivo Carty Ravalawa (loop 2)

$57k remaining. Have really concentrated on getting a stronger bench in place, was sick of getting 30s there, was really letting the team down when targeting an average of 50+ per player for 900+ each week.

Despite using 2 trades each week for the last 4 rounds, pretty happy with how my team is shaping up.

Have gone Lane + Brown > Teddy + CHT. Other option is to go ponga + Okunbor

    Cook (c)
    Fifita | Twal
    Garner | Arrow | Murray
    Munster | DCE
    Bird | Nikora
    Sivo | Teddy | CNK

    Bateman
    CHT
    Burr
    Xerri
    ------------
    Flegler
    Kahu
    Garrick
    Keighran

Could probably sit on this team for a couple of weeks and milk the slow burners a bit more.

So who is Okunbur replacing at the moment? Is his spot only a rental?

Which gun would you rather bring in this week, Crichton or Ponga?
Also, Xerri ok to bring in as a cow?
    Thanks.

In most teams WFB and Halves are much weaker than 2RF, so Ponga I expect. Xerri outside SJ will be great. Got no attacking ball this week outside Flanagan and still did well.

I am half tempted to bring in Haas this week instead of CHT. Seibold needs someone to come in and step up. Haas could see some big minutes off the bench and will want to cement his spot in the team and prove he isn't just a big person with a big name.

What caught my eye this week was C. Smith pretending to slip over so he didn't have to tackle Okunbor after getting run over 3-4 times haha.
Scored 866 up to rank 2,543 from 3,437 so happy with that. I had to play both Ravalawa & Sivo (he was so close to scoring that try when he ran onto that inside ball) so I'm looking at 2 decent wfb's. I can afford Gutherson & Meaney. If I went Ponga or Tedesco I wouldn't be able to afford Meaney who imo shows plenty of potential due to his speed which has led to 10 tb's in his last 2 games (4 v Wests & 6 v Storm). Gutherson & Meaney also play round 12.

    Lane out - Gutherson in
    D. Brown out - Meaney in

Cook (c) - he will carve up the Warriors
    A. Fifita, Lawrie (with K. Sims & Host out he should get good mins)
    Arrow, Murray, Bateman
Munster, L. Lewis (disappointed with his 43 since he was on 32 at h/t)
    Nikora, Bird
    Gutherson, Meaney, CNK

    Mahoney, Capewell, Garner, Sele
    Burr, Ravalawa, Sivo, A. Hopoate

    Thoughts & thanks.

I think it was Montoya that made way.  Don't think he'll lose his spot somehow.

Did a quick bit of Monday lunchtime analysis. For those looking for a captain, these are the only players who have scored 50 or more in each of the 4 rounds played so far:

    Farah
    Murray
    Klemmer
    J Trbojevic
    Matterson

Farah has actually pumped out 60+ every week so far.

    Nice work.

In a similar vein, these are the 6 players to average 60 or more

    Robbie Farah
    Daly Cherry-Evans
    Cameron McInnes
    John Bateman
    Andrew Fifita
    Tom Trbojevic

Obviously TTrbo is out as captain.
But Farah as captain looks the good for those who have him

Its a little weird but i think the key to Rapa scoring well is based around Leilua, but not in the traditional sense of a CTR relying on his winger to pass, more so the pair feed off each other in their involvement. Whenever one takes a scoot the other is there waiting on an offload and then because they are in position if the offload doesn't come they look to take a scoot themselves on the back of a (usually) quick play the ball. BJ has seemed fairly involved this year but still a little down i think and they both are probably getting a bit less ball with CNK and Bateman involved (mind you that was a lovely ball from Charnze on the weekend so maybe he's just warming into it).

I might bring him in, but its more out of hope and because if my rank is busted i might as well take punts on blokes i like watching, but can definitely see the hesitation.

Was Crichton moving off that wing, Montoya became Hopa, which moved Meaney to fullback. Okunbur is safe, would be there just for his ability to start sets off well with strong running each time, and has been useful on attack as well.

Wait, speaking of that ball from CNK, that wasn't a LBA nor did they count it as a LB? So then maybe this comes back to some evidence of the discussion the other week about whether they always award a LB for tries and someone (I think it was SI?) mentioned that if the defensive line still had one or two players level they weren't counted in the past.

    2min mark for reference:

My big buggaboo with the Bulldogs is the run they are on. Saw the same thing back end of last year when they were winning/competing in games and players, ALA Holland, scores were inflated. Saw first couple weeks when they weren't and the backs scores were suffering. Can the dogs keep up the scoring and competing with teams? This just scares me off a little.

That try with Rapana kicking to Leilua was unreal. They must have a code word to call that play, because as soon as Rapana got the ball and was taking off down the wing Leilua was running as fast as he could to the center of the field looking for that kick. Great to see.
