Hopefully Papenhuyzen gets hooked soon. He will be a good pick up when Hughes has to cover Munster in the halves during Origin and Pap gets a gig at FB.

Siebold just confirmed Haas is playing, Shibasaki drops out. (Broncos website). Four forward bench.

Bye bye Jack Bird's junk points at lock.

Dont see him getting enough games to be relevant.

Any indication as to starting or bench? Presumably would be bench. That's a lot of forwards I expect Gillett, Fifita, S'ua to be moving around a lot. Hopefully means Bird isn't hooked to lock at the end of game. I feel like one of birds 45 point games are coming.

Might see Munster get rested if Storm are winning games. With only Munster and maybe Kaufusi as origin players this year we can afford to rest them.

The more interesting one for me is that Roberts dropped out, Staggs starting again. He is one I really wish I had in my team at the moment.

I think they are undervaluing his potential. He had an injury the week before, so wasn't too surprising that he was often the dummy runner rather than the ball receiver last week. I am going to loop him just in case, but expecting 40+ from him each week from here.

Most of us are having similar issues that to upgrade to fallen guns the money needs to come from somewhere and Garner slowed his cash building momentum with a lower score this week. I ended up trading out Ravalawa to get in RTS this week as someone had to go to make room for him, even though he likely has some more cash to make. Its tough to make the hard decisions, when to get a gun in, you need to trade out a cashie or mid ranger that is still increasing in value.

Yeah pretty much why I think I might have to trade out Garner. My WFB took a real hit with Burns out and I've had to play Sivo there last week and this week. The only way I can get someone like Ponga into my WFB is to sell off either Garner or Lawrie.

Didn't realize Bird was playing at lock. Has it been every game since the season started?

He said Haas will be on the bench. Didn't mention a line up shuffle but doesn't mean it won't happen.

Sounds like four forward bench because they've been struggling in the middle, and wanted to rotate them more.

His average when playing more than 70 minutes (i.e covering injury early) is 42.5
When he ever finds a permanent spot on a team he will be a gun.

Its shocking to see him with a 16.67% ownership for someone that doesn't have a starting role

Although Fox is travelling to Townsville he still has some doubt about playing with Papenhuyzen or Earl ready to take his place if he is a late omission.

I don't think he's peaked in potential per se but rather he's played 4 different games and it's pretty hard to get a gauge on what his average scoring performance is like.
A try in Round 1, a 47 in Round 2 through pretty much standard work, a try in Round 3 saving his score from being crap and in Round 4 he was injury affected and used as a decoy runner all the time when he was on the field.

With a BE of 28, he can still make cash but it probably won't be a whole lot more unless he busts out a 60+ performance.
    He’s a very stable first 17 (14-17) scorer.

This summary doesn’t at all do him justice.

The match you say ”saved his score from being crap” is a massive undersell. He climbed off the canvas, back from the dead after looking gone for the match, with an injection and breaks through for a try in one of his first touches for a 47pt performance from 32mins of footy.

Interestingly in one of his few matches last year he got a 47pt from 29mins off the bench (no try) thanks to 6 TBs

I think there’s any number of reasons to consider selling him. Crichton or some other fallen gun who plays 80, but wouldn’t spin shit about him, planting massive seeds of doubt. He’s a starting backrower more than doing his job, who should be good for about 65mins each week all being well.

I really hope Macca can step up tomorrow night. Seems flat, bored, uninterested, unfit and just not motivated, I guess like the rest of the team really, but I'm praying he can get a 50 point game.

His points have been ok but you’re right about his attitude and playing style

I want players in my team who don’t infuriate me when I watch them. He is the anti-Bateman

He has 1 game to make me change my mind about ditching him next week

Help me out here, would you take a risk of benching Bird in your EMG's and playing Okunbor in his place for the week?

Bird hasn't scored badly yet and if he didn't bomb that try against the Roosters, he'd have been on 42. However the Tigers generally do a good job of keeping edges quiet and Okunbor is running against a weak defensive side.
