    He’s a very stable first 17 (14-17) scorer.

This summary doesn’t at all do him justice.

The match you say ”saved his score from being crap” is a massive undersell. He climbed off the canvas, back from the dead after looking gone for the match, with an injection and breaks through for a try in one of his first touches for a 47pt performance from 32mins of footy.

Interestingly in one of his few matches last year he got a 47pt from 29mins off the bench (no try) thanks to 6 TBs

I think there’s any number of reasons to consider selling him. Crichton or some other fallen gun who plays 80, but wouldn’t spin shit about him, planting massive seeds of doubt. He’s a starting backrower more than doing his job, who should be good for about 65mins each week all being well.

Well if he does bad this week I'm blaming it on you.

Regarding Macca there was interesting article by Renegades posted this week
    http://renegadesfs.com/index.php/nrl-fantasy/item/2012-mccullough-mediocrity

Only really a couple of base stats have changed

Having Cook over Macca is kind of a blessing and a curse with more points but now Macca owners can afford to do a straight swap with a better underpriced gun or Rein and improve other areas of your team whereas Cook owners like myself will likely keep him the majority of the year

Bird hasn't scored badly yet and if he didn't bomb that try against the Roosters, he'd have been on 42. However the Tigers generally do a good job of keeping edges quiet and Okunbor is running against a weak defensive side.

Broncos are due for a big game. Ready to lift against a reeling Tigers squad. Dogs are against an improving Dragons side, Aitken and Rava are improving. I would side with Bird here.

Avatar bet would be more fun.

You take a backrower less than his price who plays less than 80mins and we go head to head.

For the avatar bet to qualify Garner needs to play 60mins minimum (ie I get some injury insurance) he is after all playing on needles after your “almost crap” match where he was unbelievable Laughing

Most teams have a loop available and Garner plays the first game, suggest doing what I am and play him at position 18, if he gets a 30 you dont need to play him, can loop him in if he gets the expected 40+

Okunbor is a great cashie, it might have been ok to play him in your 17 at the start of the season. But I wouldn't risk playing him over Bird at this stage in the comp, unless you can loop.
Okunbor is likely to score a 20-pointer at some stage. I could be wrong and he could have a break-out season. And what is not to like about a big hairy beast?  afro

As Brown plays the last game I get a free look at Xerri and Rava.

I wasn't overly impressed with his form in the pre-season trials. Could've just been nerves.

Hard to say without seeing the rest of your team but if you don’t bring in Ponga and Crichton who plays in your 17 this week instead?

Could do one cow and one gun this week and then same again next week

points over price rises wins every time. It's a fine balancing act early on trying to get the cow earners while at the same time keeping up with the rankings.

On Crichton, I want to wait and see him score 55+ again before i think of him. His score was boosted by a try, a line break and an uncharacteristic 7 TB's against no competition last week.
