Gurgess was an uncontrollable wrecking ball in his debut season. He'd come off the bench & score a try regularly. I also think R. James debuted the same year that Gurgess did & I had both James & Gurgess in my fantasy team. I remember A. Woods was also very good in his debut season for the Tigers, I put him in my team after some tip that year & he scored really well.

Speaking of Gurgess.. what’s going on with him? He will be dropping like a stone and could be a good end 12 semicow if he gets his act together

Doubtful people have thought that the last two years he has dropped off and his explosiveness isn't as common. Even in his break out year he would have quiet games, and then have massive runs breaking 6 tackles. He has quietened down and I don't see that changing to much.

I mean if you are chasing 35+ Ravalawa can get that with a try. Host needs 145 mins to do that so go Rava

Okay so I may have exaggerated a stretch but point stands that he needs 80+ mins to score 35 (83 based on a 0.42PPM).

I definitely have no confidence to play him whatsoever. I am wondering what his role will be now off the bench though. Does he play middle since only 1 prop on the bench today? I reckon if he plays middle he scores just as well if not better.

Host is also carrying an ankle injury & starting off bench. Ravalawa will outscore him.

    The Garvey Train. Toot toot!

Cook at the dragons when he got the hooker gig for a bunch of games in a row

Honorable mention of the reoccurring cashcow: Aubusson Love somehow manages to become a cashie each season and tempts coaches with his scoring potential and good looks

What was the reasoning for Mitch Barnetts 80min run yesterday? 45 tackles and 100m are handy base stats.
Smat didn't play - dropped, injured or suspended?
Is there any other risk to job security (other than Nathan Brown)?

At his price, with a few weeks of bench play, should he lock down 80mins, that would be useful.

I imagine Host will replace Lawrie & Frizell to lock.

There was 3 HIAs which would have messed up interchanges but then again Guerra will be gone for 3+ months with a broken leg. However, I still think SMat will still be competition for the place because Fitzgibbon has the other 2RF spot locked down
