Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 34
I have to (again) play one of Garrick, Sivo or Rava this week. Played Rava last week - Garrick did best. Played Rava the week Sivo got 72. This FB roulette is a pain in the freckle. Hopefully I can bring in RTS next week, but which one of these shitters would you play this week?

If he maintains his three-round average of, uh, 15 (which included a try) then he'll lose another 100k over the next 3 weeks.

And if you think he'll somehow average his high score this season at FB of 35 at winger, his price will only increase to 396k
I think it might be best to cut your losses and do less of this ( ) when watching him play

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 34
Captain Pong-Dong for me. A 51 with a HIA is pretty good and the Titans are guaranteed to leak points. Him or Nikora but to be honest I'm always weary of captaining a player because you think they'll go well against a certain team. That has never worked out for me in the past.
Still I'm lagging behind in the rankings a bit, I don't have any reliable captain options since Fifita's hammy could explode, Arrow could a hit a 35 as easily as a 75 and Taupau's minutes are unreliable. Why not take a risk?

So you're saying he has a chance?

Sivo | Garrick | Rava in that order for me so watch them score 10 | 32 | 41

Yes it is crazy.
If you bought Edwards it was for an average of around 45, and he hasn't even gone close to that this year. Cut your losses.
Edwards just scored a 12, he's still good, he's still good.
29 with a try, he's still good he's still good.
Moved to the wing for a 7, he's still good he's still good.
Edwards has gone, man.
I know.

Don't you have Burns or someone you can loop with?
Otherwise just close your eyes and take a pick.

If looping those three - has to be Garrick/Rava vs Sivo.
Garrick and Rava play each other this week, so you'd have to make a call out of those two

I've sat through more than most (liverpool fans excluded) but not too much room for sentiment in fantasy. If it's pissing down I will make the smarter call if need be

I'm playing Garrick on my bench, he seems the most consistent. I do get a look at Xerri first and have the Brown loop if he fails.

Perfect time to get him IMO. He has shown he is the same fantasy player he was last year. Lots of ppl dont have a solid captain other than Fifi so could be a good opportunity to climb the rankings a bit too.my tv broke wrote:
I've been struggling with my second trade all week, and part of the reason I am considering just jumping on Cook is a solid C option with questions over Fifita's fitness.
I'm yet to pick the "right" captain out of my weekly options this year, so no doubt Cook will score 48..

Probably true.
Biggest issue I actually have is who to trade out for him. The guys I can trade are Capewell, Niukore, and Garner. Don't necessarily want to punt any of them at the moment, all three are performing consistently. Garner averaging slightly higher than Niukore, but Niukore plays round 12. Capewell should reap in some cash after last weeks big score. I'm sort of leaning to Garner, but it just feels wrong to get rid of him. I'm telling myself that Chee Kam has earnt himself a few more minutes meaning Garner may only play 60 and get ~35 points..

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 34
OK so my current round 12 team looks like this:
Rein
Tolman
Murray, Waddell
Brown
Bateman. Okunbur
CNK
And let's be honest, I'd be surprised if I still have Ok or Rein at that stage and who knows if Brown will be playing.
No chance I'm using trades to bring in players who I don't expect to be in my final 17 for one round.
Kikau is one I'll keep an eye on to trade in, Lolo if he's back and firing. Upgrading Morgan to ARey in the halves is probably what a lot of people will be looking to do or playing Ponga in the halves with another keeper if WFB keeper pops up.
Rhyse Martin is another potential keeper.
I really don't see anyone aside from those three knocking on the door of a final 17.

Scoring a match winning try against a bunch of potatoes shouldn't guarantee anyone more minutes...

Lawrence could be back as early as round 8 so you'll probably want to offload Garner by then anyway.

Haha as a liverpool and dogs fan mate i'm sure you've seen some frustration yourself
What are you ranked atm? You will turn it around but more by making smarter plays rather than taking huge risks every week. It's a marathon, not a sprint

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 34
Stating the obvious but from people in the club at training yesterday brown is under plenty of pressure and needs to win at least 2 of the next 4 to keep his job
Finals is a minimum for him in his contract but they may cut the cord earlier without having to pay him contract out due to the way it's structured around team performance
I like the bloke and he's helped us in dark times but not showing many signs he can help us take the next step really so hopefully he can turn it around and get the team attacking properly
