Have tried it twice, heart attack material relying on Des to give him more than 40 minutes.

So what's a good number of people to have playing in Round 12? As of right now I'd have 7 playing, Maybe 8 if Murray doesn't get selected for Origin but I'm pretty sure he's going to be.
I just wonder if hanging on to some cash cows past their peak is worth the extra points but given how few I have playing, I might have to.

You should look at Egan, is the new starting hooker based on form. Cleary has said if Katoa wanted to be their starting hooker for the season he needed to be able to play 80. That clearly hasn't happened and wouldn't surprise me if he is lining up Egan for that role instead.
$339k, when he started at hooker in round 1 he scored 59 (including a try) in 60 minutes. Plays round 12.
Thanks for the reply! I really considered him but with katoa lurking around im afraid of half a game... what does a hooker score in 40? 40 if they are lucky? Not worthy of the 17. Id rather wait for capewell and hughs/garner to get cook or something. If Egan gets 80 id get him.... even 60mins id probably get him... but ill need to wait a few weeks to see that happen

Sounds a bit light, I currently have 11 including Murray, planning to hit around 15-16 in the first bye and trade heavily to get a large number for the 2nd bye. I think this is the easiest year ever to not need to rely on Origin players to still have a great team available, so that is what I am working towards (includes trading both Cook and Arrow, potentially Murray if named for Origin 1).

I was kind of hoping to hear if Moga would somehow get his way into the starting team before Xerri plays. I'd punt on him as a cashout.

You have a nicely balanced team. Don't really like the idea of trading Morgan out and relying on CHT instead. Morgan is averaging 46 which was about his target when you started with him. BE still lower than that, will end up well over $600k.
Morgan out leaves you with no halves cover and a rookie half instead. (assuming you still play Ponga at FLB).
You have some guys ready to be traded out, would focus on them ahead of Rava and Brown. Tui Kamikamica hasnt scored over 26 without a try and is much less likely to get 1 or 2 tries than Rava who has got a mid 30s without a try. Host is another who coming off the bench is going to get mostly scores in the 20s. Brown allows you to loop really well with Ponga in there, which is extra points until you trade him out.
Left field trade ideas for you after the Haas trade:
- If you want a decent WFB to bring in to replace Ponga and trade Morgan later without worrying about WFB, I am a big fan of DWZ at Fullback for just $295k, a bargain and plays round 12.
- Egan was just named starting hooker based on form and is another bargain that plays round 12. Should score well at 60 minutes per game.
Either trade should be in budget.
Those sure are left field options. Haas is a sure thing but then it's the second trade I'm unsure about. You don't like the look of Sutton for the next few months?

Don't follow me mate if you're guts going a different way. With your ranking I would probably look at being more conservative and safe. Depends what kind of risk taker you are. Unless he gets injured, you won't lose a great deal of points compared to other captains. Unless the Knights get rolled by 50 and Ponga gets zero opportunity to do anything.
No you guys all give awesome advice but anyone blaming others for their own choices or not making them themselves based on their own analysis or convictions needs their head checked.
If it doesn't come up trumps I lose out on roughly 20 points and i've got a lot of good things this weekend to cheer me up!

What scores are you expecting from him, 40-45 average for $435k? The question I would be looking at is who is he replacing in your 17 to significantly increase your points? Burr or CHT are scoring similar. Does he sit in NPR? If your target is 900+ each week, any trade ins that aren't cash cows should be targeting 50+ points per week per player as an upgrade to your points scoring ability. Sutton will make money, but is tying up too much cash that you can't use for points upgrades.
I prefer the Twal trade, then next week solve the weakness at HLF or WFB. Note that I traded Morgan out to Moses before he got his 80 (and Morgan was looking like he was injured to the point he couldn't tackle the week before) and I traded in Twal this week as a Fifi cash out for similar scoring from a $170k cheaper player, so I am comfortable both with Twal in this week and Morgan out for the right trade in. You would need a good plan though to get a quality playable WFB or HLF next week.

Really want to make a left field captains pick this week but can't help but think that Cook is due for a tonne one day and after a couple games where the bunnies have looked a shell of their normal self a game against the dogs should provide Cook with a lot of running opportunities. Might save my left field pick for Bateman next week against the sea eagles.
EDIT: I also feel with GI officially announcing his retirement this week and Surgess being named captain the Bunnies will really step up.
