I wouldn't touch Pearce until there is some indication that he's going to start playing good footy again.

The obvious points are that Cleary is a season keeper available at a discount but doesn't play bye rounds whilst Moses is a very up and down scorer who plays round 12. We know all that.
But about Moses in particular, does anybody think he has now dramatically raised his floor? He used to balance his 80 games with a single digit score so his average was still poor. This season his two "floor" games appear to be about 30, whilst his average game is about 50 and he still has his peak of 80 and 97. Something tells me his a lot safer bet than previous seasons. His scores will still bounce around a lot between that 30-100 range, but his average will remain a lot higher having seemingly eliminated his scores of 7. So here is the take-home question:
Is Mitch Moses a gun this year?
My gut tells me yes. Anybody disagree?
Looks like a breakout year for Moses fantasy wise BUT.......
Personally, I dont like him so maybe a bit biased in my thinking, I am expecting him to go back to his normal selfish self once his contract situation is sorted and he is overlooked for Origin.

Yeah I’ve got to the point where I think he is a trade.Aardvark Ratnick wrote:I have held onto Monty Burns but looks like he is still a few weeks off a game, what are people’s thoughts on a Burns > Burr trade???
If you have an easy WFB to trade back to him when back healthy (e.g. I will net around 100k with a move from J.Hughes to him) then I think you can move him on now to whoever you can afford.
I struggle to recommend Burr as that player as I paid 228k for him, but he’s obviously doing well and still has quick cash to earn.

Hey guys, bit stuck this week. Any ideas?
Rein
Fifita, Tolman
Arrow, Murray, Gillett
Morgan, Carty
Bateman, Xerri
Teddy, Ponga, CNK
Garner, Lawrie, Capewell, Haas
Brown, Nikora, Sivo, Rava
Bolded - Injured
Only 34k in the bank so very little wiggle room.

Have you traded every week?
I'd probably just save the two trades this week with that side. No major issues.

Assuming Dylan Brown comes back before round 12, what do you think he'll do to Moses scoring?

Never been a fan of Moses, and think he’s an overrated little turnstile, but I have to say I do think fantasy wise now Moses is everything you want in a half, given he is the absolute talisman for Parra and there is no job share.Pookus McFly wrote:I have been putting it off, but can we get this Moses v Cleary discussion happening now. I do think there will be less of the crazy 80-100 scores when young Brown is back but in the meantime a dominant gun

Don't think he really affects him. Moses runs the team and gets the ball when he wants it.
Brown did more kicking that Salmon, but still, it wasn't much.

Yeah just referenced the same above.Milchy wrote:

No chance of the nearly 100 scores when Brown is there for mine.
The kid looks to have some point scoring potential so won’t be the one-man band any longer.
Moses currently averages 43 with Brown so all we know

With all the focus on Ponga's switch and Brown's coaching position, there's hardly been any talk of Pearce's underwhelming performance this year.
You would expect Knights to get better at some stage so Pearce might get fantasy relevant again.
Pearce has reached his avg Km's, from last year, only twice this year out of 6 starts and he has only 2 TA's when he avg'ed almost 1 per game last year. So yeah he is a wait and see.

I feel like I haven't even noticed him on the field this year. Seems anonymous.

Could always look at a Rava or Brown to Allan for some funds if you wanted.

What do we think of Allan. 5 games in and he's only just cracked 30 for the first time, is he improving as a player (confidence/etc) or is the first four games a true indication of what he's got to offer.
He never appealed to me as the type of player to score well in fantasy.

Shouldn’t be running with no backup hooker mate.Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:Cheers for all of the options lads. Will look into all ideas.
Your centres and WFB is done. Spot on.
Forwards are sound and no one is really set yet at half, so you really need to sort that hooker and get Rein back on your bench!

Just looking at him as a round 12 player that's close enough to a cashout. Can't really be worse than Rava.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 37
I know you shouldn’t let a personal dislike of someone get in the way of fantasy, however, Moses is a knob. He is also related to Ben Elias so that makes him an even bigger knob.Pookus McFly wrote:

Cleary is a gun, in a good side that is under performing but have to come good soon.
Cleary for me.
