I just think the halves suck. Both of them.

Look Boyd hasn't been terrible but they need a player like Issako at the back who when they make a break you can pretty much put them in to score the try at the other end instead of running 25 metres then pulling up lame cause ya hammy gave way.

Broncos were struggling against the Titans earlier this year in the trial. Boyd went off and Isaako went to fullback. I think his first touch made a 70 metre break which Broncos scored off and turned the whole game around and i think Broncos ended up winning. The better teams that are at the top of the ladder have these fullbacks that have pace, size, TB abilities and look to threaten the line just about every run. Boyd does not do any of this anymore.

Saw a stat that Boyd has the most touches of any fullback so far this season, and that is basically because teams are happy to kick to him because he poses no threat on kick return.

Broncos coach Anthony Seibold has highlighted the importance of 19-year-old prop Payne Haas to the side after insisting he is now a must in the starting line-up.
Haas, who played 80 minutes against Canberra last week in his just his second game as a starter, will start against the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday night despite the return of Matt Lodge from injury and Tevita Pangai jnr from suspension.
Haas and Lodge will line up in the front-row and Pangai will start at lock. Joe Ofahengaue reverts to the bench alongside Kotoni Staggs, David Fifita and Thomas Flegler.

    there ya go
wouldn't be the end of the world from fantasy perspective if he is benched at some point i don't think. against tired defence he's capable of some explosive plays
or he'd just go twice as hard in half the minutes lol

also i'm not convinced isaako will make a great fullback but you can't keep a fullback who looks afraid to take a kick return

    This was also said

"Payne has been outstanding the last two weeks. He's won the coach's award and the players' player two weeks in a row," Seibold said.
Payno is a player that needs to start the game and he is a player that can play long minutes. He has an extraordinary ability to work hard and repeat his efforts. We need him out there. I don't think he needs to play 80 minutes every week but last week we were down a little bit in experience.

This may sound stupid, but any chance of Mahoney playing for QLD now Friend is injured

Obviously more likely that it will be McCullough/Hunt but if one isn't named would Mahoney be next in line

From a fantasy point of view, I don't want to lose him from my R12 team

Ofa probably gets benched for Haas I guess. Probably the right move since Haas has been so good in his 2 games and Ofa's start to the season has been a bit meh.

Also the reason Isaako didn't stay at FB last year is Bennett wanted Darius there because he wanted his experience + defence at the back for the run into the finals.

Darius mustn't have been trying hard enough last year.

is Lomax worth buying next week for Garrick? Having goalkicking is nice but he isn't amazing on the wing. He'll be a nice R16 number though.

If I swap a red dot for rein who is in my interchange, do I then get the player in 18? Is this what looping is?

Spent some time around the edges for the last 15 minutes when Ravalawa was on and looked much better defensively. Started off poorly and was disallowed a try but did well to come from -2 to 25 against the Roosters. Can see him being a 30+ player so yeah i would definitely say worth it, especially with goalkicking. Dragons also have Eels, Warriors and Knights so could see lots of points in those games.

Is good news; however, I feel Haas would see viable minutes and similar points whether starting or bench. I predict a big win by the Broncos with both teams having high scoring games (fantasy wise)

Haas has certainly hit the ground running. Not much chance he reverts to low minutes now. Wants a carry every set and bends the line back with every carry. Quite frankly, I'm amazed at his output after only two games this year. 170m a match and 40 odd tackles.

Boyd may not be the worst but I wouldn't even put him in the top 10 starting fullbacks in the league these days.

    1. RTS
    2. Tedesco
    3. Ponga
    4. TTUrbo
    5. Gutherson
    6. Dufty
    7. CNK
    8. Hughes
    9. Mbye
    10. Edwards haha just kidding

Yep! If any of your 14-17 are a red dot you get 18 by default

    Maybe a website, say, like nrl.com ?

Seriously though, nrl.com is pretty good these days with updated info. The Haas start/ofa bench news is in their late mail already.
