NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 45

All I know about this week is that I'm not making any trades right now.

I'm not trading any Sharks/Titans in or out so I can put off the drama and decision about who to bring in another 24 hours.

Doubtful. QLD don't have much in the forward stocks and he doesn't have a lot of competition for his spot.

Looking forward to this round. Last week was pretty rubbish.

I was very busy last weekend and didn't watch much footy and had stuff all reception so couldn't keep up to date either. This week will be good to watch some footy.

My only problem with not trading is that I'm languishing at 8k. Not trading won't gain me any ground. I'll likely double trade next week too and then hold for byes

The way I do it is I list all my current players, project their values out and then subtract that away from the total $ figure the final team is going to cost. That gives you the amount of money you still need to generate to get to that final squad.

E.g. Final squad = $15m current squad's projected value = $13m therefore still currently need to generate $2m

In the above way of doing it, you dont need to worry about what Nikorima initially cost you.

for years now, i've been doing a simple spreadsheet to track players i'm trading in & out, so i have an idea of the money i need to generate to end up with the team i want, like so:



so currently i need about 2.2 mil to get my desired final team, i have 800k in the bank right now though, so it's more like 1.4mil, the two columns on the right are the projected gains/losses over the next 3 weeks if they hit their average, to give me an idea of how much i'm currently generating vs how much i might need in the future.

I'm really not confident in Carty tonight, however I don't really want to commit to any trades just yet and have no current backup before trading.

With this injury news on BJ, what chances that Bateman goes to centre when he’s back from injury?

Bateman is a test centre.

I didn’t trade last week because I chose to hey my head and avoid option on the table. Went from 800 to 380.

Assigning a trade value, will let you weigh up the benefits of trades you’re second guessing. I.e if you are you considering young, obvious questions marks on security. You might guess that he makes somewhere between 100,000 (if he maintains his average) and 200,00k (averages about 40) up to rd 12, assuming he is then milked not long after. You’re basically betting the value of the trade on making that amount, risk v reward on him in my opinion isn’t aligned. In a team with multiple options, that has required two injuries (one in game) in his role to score 45 odd that included a try?

I guess I also spend a fair bit of time planning GIFs for the party

Thats the same BS Bennett said when questioned last year on why he did the exact same thing at Brisbane. Its a lie and the NRL should have cracked down on it when they first changed the team list rules, the whole purpose was more clarity around teams.

haha it's not that involved, takes around 15 minutes total to type in new prices after lock-out and hit up the calculators on MTB's site for the price rises when they're updated, i'd be much more salty about my 11635th ranking if i were actually putting time and effort into this thing
