To the other Liverpool fans, what an absolutely amazing year you’ve had. Congratulations on the year. Anyone other than the insanely good team of City and you’d have been champions.

No one can say Liverpool bottled it this year. City have had to win 18 of 19 to win by 1pt. That unreal

I disagree mate. Liverpool were 10 points ahead at one stage, they absolutely bottled it. They didn’t at the end of the year but they certainly let it slip.

Harsh to say we bottled it, we lost 1 game the entire season. Too many draws and the loss to City away from home cost us. Can't be perfect.

Moving up the ranks. Up to 1309 after going as low as 5000 around a month ago when everyone and their dog got over 1k. Score for the week was 944. Only thing i regret is switching Mahoney to Sivo last minute instead of playing Young but still happy with my score overall.
Only trade ive made so far this week is my dumbass move of CHT to A.Taylor... Waiting to hear the word on Hughes before deciding if i double trade this week but have $550k itb so can get anyone for him. Just tryna not burn through trades so tryna find good r12 options. thinking Wighton or Walker.

Feels like that was a round you either did really well, or did really badly. Unfortunately i was the latter. No cook, capt Fifita and reversed my morgan to milford trade.
I knew waiting until after origin for cook was a massive risk and it really came back to bite me this round.
Actually feels like a tough round if you are holding guys for round 12 and holding off bringing in origin players.
Speaking of rd 12 ive currently got 12 inc Murray players with 23 trades and was sitting in the top 100. One round later 593, ouch!

Sorry mate, didn't see this post.
May our (City/Liverpool) dominance continue for many years.

Why would you want another team to dominate with yours lol?Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:

Feel your pain - similar trajectory here, but sounds like you're much better set than most for byes and trades so can make back the 100+ points you lost this week soon.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 47
I had a great round & scored 1022. This put me into the top 100 rank (Round 9 ranked 430, now 81). I started a surge around about this time last year not because I did anything special but because I kept the (c) on Cook. Last year Cook had come off a couple of poor scores so most Cook owners explored different captain options then Cook started racking up the scores which I benefited from.
The moral of the story is if you own Cook you captain Cook & don't get put off if he posts the odd average score even if it's a couple weeks in a row.

Does anyone know what the 'magic number' is to figure out what average a player is priced at? Is it 14910
Looking at Munster and Milford (may end up picking Cleary, could miss out on Origin)

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 47
921 with Fifita as captain still sees me gain ~500 ranks. Score could have been absolutely anything.
My decision 2 weeks ago that Bateman and Cook were on the same tier and getting one for 100k discount has cost me a bunch of points. No doubt I would have had Cook captain these last two weeks and avoided Bateman(40) and Fifita(22) as some of my all time great fantasy choices. Likely looking at double gun with Bateman>Lolo and Lawrie>Taupau looking like my two trades

14500 will get you a pretty good estimate

Congrats Man City for winning the epl. @ HS I was the one who called City overrated but I was just joking mate & trying to give the City supporters a hard time for not making the Champion's league final. You were right though we did bottle it because we had the lead & then we choked & started drawing games we should of won. That being said I'm a proud Liverpool supported & they still had a great season in the epl.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 47
Quick digression on magic number.
Below is graph showing the progression of total points scored per round, and total salary taking the field per round.
Total salary is dropping because expensive guys like Bateman, TTrbo, DCE are dropping out and getting replaced by cheapies like Hudson Young, Kane Elgey etc.
Total points per round normally starts off low then settles down as teams get their shit together after the off-season, but is generally pretty variable.
This trend of lower salaries and higher points both contribute to low magic number, and happens every year. MN started at nearly 15,000 but hasn't been above 14,000 since round 1.

Hmm interesting thanks, the lower it gets the worse it makes it sound for picking up one of the expensive HLFs
Munster (779k) - Average 58.3 (priced at 57.7)
Milford (770k) - Average 54.8 (priced at 57.0)
Cleary (710k) - Average 50.4 (priced at 52.6)
Think it depends on whether Papenhuyzen gets a favourable spot in TLT (might cash out Xerri for him) and then I'll see potential for holding bank to do Lawrie to Taupau
