I’m dumping him this week with the intention of picking him up in round 13/14 currently have him traded out for Martin/young. It’s what WL said that got me thinking. The rise of Uele means they have to rely less on Fifita hell he even played less mins for Uele against the storm that shows a lot of trust in Uele and this week coming off his injury I can see reduced mins and doesn’t play the bye round. I’ll probably regret it because I know he can go gangbusters but if he score 55 the next two weeks I Can pick him up again for what 700k?Rippin and Tearin wrote:
Are you seriously considering dumping Fifita?
I've seen a few guns touted as trade outs this year, and some people who have actually followed through. Im not sure how that has worked out. Cook was one, Arrow another, heck even Murray's name was thrown around a few rounds back. I've seen Teddy's name out there as well.
No doubt every now and then someone gets a little lucky, but I really dont see the logic here, well not enough anyway. Fifita played half the season with niggly injuries last year and he gunned it. Chances are he does the same. Just remember he's the third tanked FRF at the moment and top 10 active players overall.

Looks like James Segeyaro could come into Broncos 17. Alex Glenn currently not training, Fifita in his place. #NRL

Hughes is back next week and I dont see any reason he won't slot into FB again. Then Drinkwater is due back before 16 and he was the #1 FB at the start of the season. That makes Pap #3. He may not start again this season. You'd probably need 2 lucky breaks. I personally dont see why it is worth the punt. There are others out there who are cheap enough and will almost certainly give you points and cash.
Yeah it's a Hail Mary. I'll probably just stick with the forwards and hope they stick around for a month.

I will be bringing in Young this week and follow Martin closely this weekend and see what role/minutes he plays. If he is a gooden then he will be coming in next week. If he is a dud I'll be brining in staggs.

OOO I am keen on Fifita if he can actually lock down a spot in second row.

Brown was the perfect red dot for Looping for the last 4 or 5 Rounds with his last/late Round games. I reckon that’s why most held. He now has a run of early games so will be getting moved on.Rippin and Tearin wrote:Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:Guys like Brown, Whitbread are hard to figure out in regards to trading.
Is it worth getting rid of them for Young and Martin even though it only gets you maybe 50k each?
Edit: Nope that only gives me a bank of 173k which isn't enough to go straight to a fallen gun.
Im not sure why you'd be still holding Brown to be honest.
As for Whitbread, others have said, and I agree, he's a hold unless you really need to switch him out for someone. He'll play 12 and could get some minutes until then if there's an injury.
I think you have to take the punt on at least one of Young and Martin. I'd go Young mate.
In saying that, if I can hold him this and next week I might take the 10% chance he gets named for Round 12. And yeah, 10% might be optimistic.

Got to love government filters! Yeah, I've been meaning to change my team name and put the tag... I'll get around to it eventually. It's a magnificent team, headlined by Captain Cartwright. I think you'll slip past me this week, dusted me in some random league h2h last week.

Warriors trio Nathaniel Roache, Tohu Harris and Jazz Tevaga failed to train on Tuesday but coach Stephen Kearney hopes the trio will take their place in the side for the clash against Penrith on Friday night.

By the way, I heard Kearney on the radio yesterday in NZ. Its painful.
Next time you listen to him, count how many times he say's "ya know". Im not exaggerating when I say that he says it at least once or twice per sentence. Im sure he's a lovely chap but shit, he needs a lesson or two in how to articulate himself without sounding like a 15-year old boy. No wonder the team has resorted to motivating themselves....

With the number of injuries this season, I'd be very careful with using your remaining trades. Trading out Fifita only to bring him back in later seems like a waste of trade to me.
