I am a vivid Storm supporter and although I have always liked Hughes, he isn't a 7. You see what happened at Broncos when they had 2 Fullback/Five-Eighths controlling the team, there is no structure. Furthermore, I am a fan of Croft and I know he hasn't developed into the prolific Fantasy scorer like we all hoped he would he is actually doing quite well this year. His defence is improving each week and he is slowly getting his running game back. If we want to establish a long term halfback we need to stick with Croft and allow him to develop his game. I agree that Papenhuyzen is the fullback we need. Butchered a try yesterday when he got outside Fonua and should've passed to the Fox but instead he went himself. Other than that he will get better defensively but his prowess on attack is electric! Has the speed and tackle breaking ability that Hughes just lacks. As much as I like Hughes if he isn't named at 1 this week he may just be relegated to the bench... or even reserves.
Bellamy isn't the type of coach to change half his spine around in the space of a week. I'd be very surprised if all of a sudden he does it and starts a rookie (people do realize Pap is a rookie, right?) and puts Hughes at HB. Hughes is definitely a better FB than HB so changing the spine up like that probably isn't the best idea. Also I don't see why Hughes deserves to be dropped. He would have been starting at 1 this week if he didn't get a concussion.
