I would prefer to ditch Capewell this week as he is going to drop more cash and I have Xerri/Lomax to cover centre. To get LoLo now it means two out which I am happy with but the second in is a problem. Looking at the following

Capewell/Lawrie out & Lolo/Hiroti in (leaves more cash but is pretty much a red dot after the bye)
'- This isn't a bad thing but would rather a forward if I was going to do this. Luai is another option but his breakeven is shit
'- Can go Carty to someone useful in one move post rd 12

Capewell/Lawrie out & Lolo/Cotric in in (cost more but he will play him through to 16)
'-Thinking Cotric will probably increase in value over the period that he plays
'-Any other suggestion under $500k that play round 12 and are on the up would be helpful

Maybe thumbs up for the first line of thinking and thumbs down for the second

Have been thinking about this more and may just go with a third line of thinking which is hold for a week suck up the lost $ on Capewell and see where it washes out. Capewell picked the wrong week to shit the bed! Next week should throw up a few more palatable scenarios....... jocolor

If they don't pick him this year they might get away with it but next year he will be running the Roosters as the dominant half back. And if he is playing well and doesn't get picked then he might be tempted to go to court  for loss of earnings specially since he is been blocked for playing for Qld.

Not a chance in hell of court action. If that were possible, at least 20 players have had grievances against the NSWRL. Mundine never stopped whinging about he and other indigenous players not being picked. No reason needs to be given for not being selected, or any reason they like can be used. It’s up to the coach and selectors, not the player. That will always be the case.

Nothing in particular right now - just hate going to the NSW or QLD cup sites to do a casual browse of someones stats, to find out that they don't show up in the player list. Seems to happen with about 50% of the players in both comps.

I know you can goto individual games, but its just frustrating that their code has some bug that doesn't collate all the players properly.

So yeah from round 12 to 17, Cook only plays 1 game for the Rabbits that isn't on an origin short-turnaround.

Mitchell did concede, however, his ongoing off-field issues had affected his performance in the season opener against Souths, which included several physical confrontations with his arch rivals.

“Coming into that game I was so frustrated with everything that was going on,” he recalls. “I couldn’t take it out on anyone so … I tried to take it out on Souths. With how I carried on, the grubbiness, that’s the first time I’ve ever felt embarrassed as a footballer.

“But with all that stuff now coming to an end, I feel like I’m starting to put things together on the field.

“Obviously, against Brisbane I went into a little trench, but I’ll come out of it. It’s great timing to have all this weight lifted.”

I'll believe when I see it, look at Hodges.. carried on like a wank right up until his last game.

I tried to make the case that origin players would miss 2 - 3 games minimum and was told that was rubbish.

    I'm still not convinced

    I did it!!!

    Nicoll-Klokstad and Burr OUT
    Cotric and Taumalolo IN

I tried it out and when I saw my bench of

Rein, Twal, Taupau & Tolman, there was no turning back really.

Would have been nice to have CNK stick around for R12 but I am happier with this outcome.

If we’re not careful with Brittain, he’ll be snapped up by another team. He’s a gun.

Selling CNK is awful. Cotric is tipped for Origin and has very little history at CTR to know if last week 55 was outlier or not. Only other game I can find last season scored 23.

Depends on the player, the position, how much game time they get during origin and how long before they have to back up. Also if they picked up any little niggles or not, and how important it is for their team to win games. Roosters/Souths are more likely to rest players than say Tigers/Knights are

I think Cook will get at least one rest

That’s not exactly what happened mate. There was some confusion on all sides throughout that conversation as to whether it was about what they HAD to miss due to the schedule, verses what they MAY miss due to Player/Coach decisions.

Origin players at this stage are only missing 1 more game this year then non-Origin players. That is what we know. Various players may miss more than that, that is what we still have to find out.

Way I see it even if Cook misses 1-2 more games than others, you've still got the best fantasy player in the game under lock and key in your team.

Cop the hit for a week, reap the benefits as he busts out an 80+ the next week.
