I don't think Cotric will play origin.

If Cotric does not play origin, nothing lost, If he does I lose 40 points. Most of them will be made up through the amount Taumalolo outscores Burr by in one weel. Taumalolo is a keeper, CNK is not. Cotric does have a history of scoring well when he is closer to the action. I don't think it is the big deal some are making it out to be. I think the risk is low and as I am sitting back in spot 2700 and something, it is worth a shot. No?

my worry with Mann is that he'll be 5/8 because it worked last week, and things will go back to status quo the moment it doesn't, and considering they're facing a Roosters side after an upset, who is pretty much back to full-strength... ahh, yeh..... the Knights have looked better over the last month but to put it into perspective, they've beaten 10th, 12th, 14th, and 8th placed team that looks like wooden spooners whenever they leave Parramatta (which they did on that occasion), I expect the Roosters will bring them right back down to terra firma, and then who knows what happens from there.

Yeah this was my worry, their next fixtures are: Roosters, bye, Rabbitohs, Storm

There's a thought! Will Pap get more game time over origin?

I can't see why he would, it'd be pretty demoralising confidence wise for Croft (assuming he is dropped) who is already suffering in confidence and it doesn't make sense to bench Hughes who has been solid and hasn't made any huge mistakes

Papenhuyzen himself said he was happy to bide his time and sit on the bench. I imagine he will start in R16 when Munster is missing but I don't think Munster is likely to be rested after Origin

I wasn’t talking about Keary. I was responding to the Mat Rogers quip.

On Keary though, I can completely understand why no passionate NSW’s supporter would want him in their team. But, NSW fans haven’t suffered a patch on what Keary has. Imagine growing up with a dream of representing your state, being good enough to actually do so but being fucked over by a technicality. Poor bastard. A lot of players place more emphasis on origin than test matches and he has been dudded by some suit who wouldn’t know passion if it bit him on the dick.

Keary is the victim and his interview on Fox last week about representing NSW was all sorts of wrong and he knew it. Very awkward.

The ones where the age is more mid teens and a mix of states having moved around or something less clear are understandable.

You would feel like you came from QLD because you were actually born there. Ie, state of origin.

You know staggs has cemented ctr spot. Mann could be back on the bench at any moment.
Id prefer to see how Mann scores without a try and 5 tbs. He pretty much did no kicking

The only other way I can get Taumalolo without bringing in Cotric is playing Dearden in my halves and moving Ponga back to the WFB. What do you think? Sivo is the only player I can sell to get Lolo

I might pick him over Dearden.

Staggs has an average of 32 in 5 games when playing 80 mins or close to it (include 75 min interchange game) this year with no tries. Is guaranteed a spot for the rest of the year with Bird doing ACL

Mann has really good scores at 5/8 (in small sample) as highlighted beforehand. It will either be a win-win scenario or a lose-lose scenario if you pick him in terms of his job security. Knights + Mann keep performing (especially against top teams they are about to face) = no reason to change squad and Mann gets good scores; Knights + Mann underperform and he returns to utility and it's a wasted trade

Mann has much lower BE (4 to 21) but less job security - what do you value. Personally as he won't be in my 17 regardless I'm highly tempted to pick him up

He had scores last year of 62, 36, 51 without any tries at 5/8 for Dragons. Only attacking stat was TA and then 7, 3 and 4 TBs respectively with fairly low KM (63, 43, 9)

See what they did to the cowboys last week? They put pressure on Morgan and Asiata ended up having more kms.

Perhaps they put some pressure on Pearce which could benefit Mann.

On the contrary... The week before Asiata didn't kick at all and Morgan had a shit kicking game due to pressure. So it might take a week for Pearce getting raped by JWH to give Mann some decent KMs.

May be for some people but Luke Keary was born in QLD and wanted desperately to represent them. Should be allowed I believe. I was born in QLD, moved to NSW at a young age because my Dad got a job transfer. Eventually came back but in my teens but I never changed allegiances because of circumstances outside of my control.

Anyway, bring on SOO, the natives are restless.
