I'm assuming the "best" target for back 5 is Bateman/Nikora/Tedesco/Ponga/Tommy T

For me its RTS v Drinkwater. I can get drinkwater next week, play him at FB until R18 when I get Turbo and then put Drinky at 18th man for cover/looping (depending on his output.)

I am really hoping Drinkwater impresses this week because he would cover HLF and WFB and would make good cover or a nice POD player for the rest of the year. Not fussed on R16 as I should have 10-11 players anyways. Then I could get Turbo in R18 if Drinkwater backfires and keep him for WFB/Hlf cover as his JS should be sweet

Fainu seems a good option to ride for a few weeks to a good 18th man. Can only afford him this week by trading out Fifita though so will give it a miss and see what next week looks like.

Just on this - I like Ponga on the bench to cover WFB/HLF so I think Bat/Nik/Ted/Turbo/RTS then Ponga int. I guess it doesn't matter if half and WFB can be covered elsewhere.

STUFF IT! Going CNK > Drinkwater this week. Gives me more money in the long run and allows me to add a 768K 17th man in R18.

    Havili > Fainu this week.

Can't let a buy like that slip through my fingers.

Fainu did a great job for me last season when Api went down so I don't see why he can't do the same job again, especially with no backup hooker on the Manly bench. He's heavily underpriced from last season and I can see him averaging 50 until Api is back.

Sucks I have to miss out on Fainu, just don't have the trades or the personnel to trade him in and out. Would be a great segway from a mid ranger to a gun though.

Same, I cant make Fainu work. I need WFB cover as I'm trading CNK + I'm short of trades to do in/out. BAH

    Hardly a fair comparison.

Fainu will average more than TTurbo anyway Cool

I can't fit Fainu anywhere in my team unfortunately unless it's at the cost of not picking SJ (probably over Xerri in short term) who if I start could then cover WFB/HLF by putting Ponga/Watson in INT

Given Fainu will probably need to be traded out again and my plans to bring in TTurbo + Fifita back in leave me with 2 trades it's probably too risky

Looking back at last year, Hodkinson was bench HOK for Fainu so are people expecting Fainu to get 80 mins

Croker could come into the 17 and might be the one to spell Fainu. Regardless I still expect 60 minutes from Fainu.

I'm at the point where I don't give a flying fuck if Fainu isn't really the best longterm fit for my team makeup. I just want another decent scorer.
