While already having Smith McInnes and Fainu it’s going to be a tough decision to make

Hopefully Cook will be rested giving you another week to decide.

Shit i have a conundrum. If Tevaga is named at lock again ill have to have a punt.

These are my pencil trades atm, Whitbread/Martin/Farah to Coates/SJ/Tevaga.

This leaves enough cash to go Xerri/Sivo > Burns/Cook

Problem is Xerri will need to hit his BE (im gonna put that in the unlikely basket).

This is the team I'm hoping to have this week:

    Smith (c)
    Haas, Taukeiaho
    -
    Pearce, Brooks
    Nikora, Xerri
    RTS, (Coates, Maranta)

    McInnes, Johnson

So 12 if Maranta somehow miraculously gets another call up.
Too many boom-or-bust players in there for my liking though.

Squad as set as it will get with 4 trades and $70k awaiting the carnage to come.

Jeez, I'm feeling the heat with only 6 players before trades this week. Looks like everyone is looking 10-12. This could go south easily this week.

You might be right, but Bennett has rested Broncos origin players in the past when we've been in worse ladder positions than Souths are.

As a "Cook trader", I am hoping he rests!

I'm think most will have 10 players (+c). So, something around 550

    Really hard to tell tbh

I'll condense my dilemma down as much as I can for a good old thumbs up/thumbs down question. Up for A, Down for B.

    A. Keep Farah. Sell CNK for SJ. In R17 sell Robson to a cheapie and hope I can afford Farah to Tommy T otherwise I might run with just 16 players while I wait for Ponga to come back.

    B. Sell Farah for SJ. Keep CNK for WFB cover in 17. Sell CNK for anyone I want in R18.

Holding Farah this long only to sell him for R16 seems like a waste but I think it might be for the best. Plus Option B allows me the flexibility of maybe keeping Robson one more week for another price rise and making no trades in R17.

So I've run some numbers and since i'm packing up for the year this will be my team for RD17 and onward if all goes well. Will have 2 trades to cover some long term injuries.

    Smith
    Fifita, Haas
    Lolo, Taupau, Murray
    SJ, Brooks
    Nikora, Burns
    Ponga, Teddy, CNK/Milford

    McInnes, SST, Fainu, Tevaga
    CNK/Milford, Xerri, Coates, Kerr

Team has sufficient cover for small injuries/suspensions and will hope for the best

Geez you'd better hope Bateman doesn't find form again or you're done for. I mean I'm pretty sure thanks to me I've ruined him since he's never scored more than 40 when I've owned him but a bold move nevertheless.

You might as well call your team Here comes the Boom because it is POD central on the INT. Probably going to struggle a lot without Cook.

Ideally he plays limited mins in r17 to drop some more $s

Yeah I know mate, I've made some bad choices this year it seems without knowing it and cash flow has suffered along with scores. Those two will probably bite me but hey if they both go down could be a master stroke. Unlikely but it's the best I cannot put together.

I could opt for Bateman over McInnes but yeah who knows

    My Wookiee Warriors after trades:

    Smith
    Fifita, Haas
    Taumalolo, Murray, SST
    Munster, Johnson
    Bateman, Nikora
    Teddy, RTS, Ponga

    McInnes, Twal, Watson, Fainu
    Burns, Coates, Brittain, Dearden

With 209k ITB to get Cook in for Watson in a few rounds to finalise my team.
Should have enough cover for most scenarios with the available DPPs
Hopefully Brittain and Coates get some time on the field in round 17

I'm happy with either scenario. I have Brittain for cover.
