How many trades you reckon is a good number after this week?

How many trades you have *after* this week, and what is "good", is also dependent on how many players you still need to bring in to complete a final 17.

That said, if you have your final 17 already, can you cover players that might be missing round 17 (cook/murray/tedesco/jtrbo/ttrbo/ponga/cleary come to mind as possibilities/probabilities)

If you exclude Tevaga’s two injury games, he averages 44.8.
That would end up being 6 points less than Fainu which is basically nothing

But now Tevaga is starting, he will get a lot more than his bench average which imo makes him a better option than fainu

Can't believe there are people with 1-2 trades left.... as much as I can't believe there are people with 9-10 trades left. Going to be a few more weeks before they get their final 17 set, hope it works out for them but they'll be missing points in the meantime.

I have 7 trades at the moment but that will become 5 once I trade Watson > Cook

Hopefully that’s enough with a solid 18th man in Tevaga/Twal (loop)

I was thinking more along the lines of how many trades someone with a less than great team (me) would need to have a hope of gaining ground on the basis of higher ranked teams running out of trades. I'm thinking that my 7 trades is neither here nor there.

I will have 4/5 left after this week and my team is absolutely horrible.

What's your problem with Ben bro? He's already explained it more than once. You might not agree. But I like his posts and they don't make my head hurt. I've a hard head though.

Luke on the bench to spell Lawton is good for Tevaga's minutes since he won't have to play any hooker. Last week the Warriors had 3 big boppers on the bench so hopefully Tevaga gets 60 minutes this week.

You'd be hoping for the higher ranked teams to cop injuries and have shit/no cover. Seems likely.

Although, I did some number crunching on this last season (cant find it now). I ended up preferring having points in the bank and hoping for luck to avoid injuries vs playing catch up using trades to make up ground.

I have 8 trades left going into this week. I didn't bother worrying about this round but I am hoping for a bottom priced guy to cash in Dearden to build up the bank to upgrade CNK and a keeper to Cook towards finals time if he is a must have.

I think this is a good point.

If you have trades in the bank once you have a final 17, you're basically hoping for injuries to high ownership players. Its not a great way to play the game. Obviously a few trades are going to be useful. Zero is just scary.

Of course, a few Storm/Roosters players might get rested toward the end of the year.

I'd like a trade up my sleeve to bring in someone like Latrell for the last couple of rounds who could go huge.

Ponga out of Origin is actually good. Means he is more likely to play R17. Milford severity not disclosed yet either. Out of the two I would trade Milford though.

Dont think there is any chance that Ponga will  play round 17. Kinghts  said he will miss at least two more weeks and I doubt they risk their star player with a calf injury. Give him time to get him right for the run to the finals will be the order of the day.

But at this point, I would keep the guy who plays in a good team.
