For my wag team, trades this week Dearden/Lomax/Milford out, Coates/Mitchell/McInnis in. Then Watson to DCE after the byes, then can either roll home with 3 trades and basically a 21 man squad or use two trades to turn Papy and Martin to Jurbo and red dot and loop my way to the top with one trade left.

    Cook
    Fifita, Haas
    Taumalolo, Jurbo, Murray
    Moses, DCE
    Bateman, Nikora
    Tedesco, Ponga, RTS
    Smith, McInnis, SST, Reddot
    Mitchell, SJ, Tevaga, Coates

Bit different to the top ten, could cope with short injuries/suspensions but would need a lot of long-term injury luck.

Fortune favours the bold, I like it.

My plan is somewhat pod-ish but not quite that pod-ish.

I've got 5 trades left after using all 4 this week, which are:

Havili, Kenny, TKO and Mahoney to SJ, Walters, Lodge and Tevaga

Next week I'll sell Xerri to Burns, leaving me with 4 trades left and the following team. I'll need to budget one trade to sell Fainu but otherwise have 3 left to cover injuries.

My team for the run home is:

    Cook
    Fifi, Haas
    Jurbo, Lolo, Murray
    SJ, Munster
    Burns, Bateman
    Teddy, Ponga, Wighton

    CS9, Fainu, Lodge, Tevaga

    Nikora, To'o, DBrown, Walters

I disagree, Burns is killing it and Nikora's dropped off a lot. I'll still keep him but unless he improves a lot, I will be playing Burns ahead of him.

Seen 4 games of Burns, will find it tough to outscore Nikora

Yeah, thanks. Was looking back to see what I've done differently/better with that team than my main team (the one I actually agonised over rather than making snap decisions) and it's basically that I bought boom players earlier. Picked Moses up in around week 4, got Watson a while ago, SJ & Tevaga last week. Also, avoiding things like McInnis and Bateman's injury games and not captaining Fifi's 11 helped, but that's pure luck. Captaining Cook every week before Origin and Tolo every week since has also been a win, buying ATaylor, Radley and Finucane and trading them back out within two weeks less so - the gut trade-ins can cut both ways.

Tbh that wasn't even meant to be a dig at you, I don't even know where you're ranked in comparison to me. Just saying that the overall ranks are enough to judge the merits of playing one player over another

Personally think Xerri to Burns is sideways unless you need WFB cover (and Xerri might get DPP anyway), and Nikora over Burns for sure.

Worth dumping Allan for a 212 that plays this week? Would bring me to 6 trades if I do.

I just think Burns has a better floor than Xerri and I do need the WFB cover in case I need to move Ponga or Wighton to cover halves. Xerri is being fucked with at the Sharks and they have a tough run home, while Burns is in a top 3 team on the end of a lethal backline. This might be more a leap of faith than anything else but I'm backing him in.

Does Pearce score less with Lino at 6?

I feel Lino is getting the ball out the back more and getting the TA's. Alla skip pass last week

Check out this guy here hoping for long-term injury luck with decent depth in nearly every position.

My 18-21 is probably going to read something like Mann, Carrigan, Cash-out DPP, Brittain lol

Going all out for some kind of depth now, it will probably backfire but oh well here it is.

    Smith
    Fifita, Haas
    Lolo, Taupau, Murray
    SJ, Brooks
    Nikora, Xerri
    Ponga, Teddy, RTS

    Fainu, Milford, SST, Tevaga
    CNK, Martin, Walters, Brittain

    Farah > Walters
    Whitbread > SJ
    Sivo > RTS
    Dearden >Tevaga

Leaves me 4 trades, still ranked around the 4500 mark.

    Any thoughts appreciated?

With Klemmer back in Origin I still need to remove JFH for a R16 option + finalise 18th man
    (1) Twal + Mann as 18th man (2 trades remaining) - better averaging player as 17th man, but less cover, more trades,
    (2) SJ + Burns as 18th man (1 trade remaining) - gives cover for all positions once Ponga returns, could open up l@@p possibilities, lower floor of SJ compared to Twal, 1 trade for run home bit scary

Both are somewhat dependent on price changes with (1) leaving 0k ITB for Fifita + TTurbo next week based on current prices whereas (2) leaves around 20k but would be at mercy of extra price change (unless TTurbo doesn't back up)

Final team in R18 would be (1 trade remaining)
    Cook
    Fifita Haas
    Matterson Murray Taumalolo
Munster Ponga (should return by then)
    Bateman Nikora
    Tedesco RTS TTurbo

    Smith McInnes Taupau SJ/Twal
    Burns/Mann Carrigan Coates Walters

Hey guys - has Milford's injury been confirmed? and if so what's his time line?

Also, what about Ponga? same question as above.

    Are these too risky?

    Milf>Sj
    Cnk> matterson
    Murray> McInnes
    Mahoney> Tevaga

Leaves me 4 trades 99k. With fainu, Watson and Tevaga players I would look
To upgrade in a month or so.
