CNK. I've tried to trade him out twice in the last 2 weeks and he's saved me twice. Okay 12 points in R14 wasn't great but it was better than running with just 15 players for the round.

Point is he's a fairly reliable option who can save you in a tight spot.

Xerri probably deserves to get DPP if he keeps playing wing, yeah?

Thanks for these. Looks like that makes it tougher than expected $$ wise than compared to MTB's site. Looks like Matterson definitely a no go for me, will be looking at Klemmer or failing that Twal.

If xerri gets DPP he is definitely worth a final 21 spot (will be in my final 21 anyways)

Munster trained at Fullback today for the Maroons. Suggests 1. Munster, 6. Norman, 7. DCE.

EDIT: Morgan also trained on his own due to HIA, also trained at fullback and 6 later in the session. Mbye trained at CTR.

I think it's safe to say my projections of Xerri's selling price were completely off the mark and my plans for final 17 have completely changed in the space of a week

I will still be able to afford SST this week + Fifita & TTurbo next week with Xerri price drop but further weakens my chances of Burns as 18th man and also means I probably can't get Klemmer instead of SST this week - have some slight doubts of SST's minutes post Origin with Friend's likely return and Roosters being at full strength

SST Points and Minutes in games Friend was available this season:
    R1 - 28 points (45 mins), Friend 80 mins
R3 - 69 points (54 mins, 1 try), Friend 33 mins with injury and Cronk unavailable which meant extra utility
R7 - 77 points (54 mins, 1 try), Friend 69 mins - massive metres over general season average?? + attacking stats

Will he get the ball in his hands though, that's the question.

He will only need one play where he runs around 5 Broncos players for 5 tackle breaks, linebreak and a try to get a good score this week. If he is 1 on 1 with Boyd then that's a guaranteed try, too.

filthridden wrote:Those getting Tevaga in, I'm assuming you are crossing your fingers for the following:

1 - He stays starting lock even when Burr is back
2 - If Burr comes back onto the bench, he doesn't take minutes of Jazzy
3 - He doesn't have anymore injury effected games (two this year)
4 - He doesn't miss anymore games due to injury (two this year)
5 - He doesn't score less than 40 going forward (five from twelve games this year)

I don't know about you but I don't have that many fingers to cross.
From what I can tell he's being hyped up in here based on one start and a high score in that start.

I've already given my thoughts on this as someone who brought him in last week but I do agree his JS is shaky and I knew that bringing him in.

I read an article on him last week where he basically explained he wanted to nail down the 13 jumper and show he has what it takes to be a starter and not just a bench player. After his performance on the weekend I think he did exactly that. I really don't see how Kearney can bring in a much worse player in Burr back into the starting side over Jazz. The only worry now is Tevaga's minutes with Burr back, it's an unknown so we'll see this week.

Buzz is reporting, if not for Origin this week and some Broncos stars being out Boyd would've been dropped. Apparently he has to have a blinder against the sharks this week otherwise there will be a tough conversation to be had and $800K playing Qcup.

With Ponga and Milford injuries (if i trade to SJ) this has freed up quite a bit of cash and makes an 18th man at that 500k mark realistic such as Tevaga, Burns, or Fainu. Its a shame Tevaga is the only one who plays this week, but it makes me favour him. This would also mean Mahoney is a final 17 player for me, but with a solid 18th man, rotating them would be a realistic option.

You send people to Q Cup to get fit or find form. He wont play Q Cup, he'll be "injured".

There are rumours all over twitter that Siebold has wanted to drop boyd for weeks but management has blocked it. Hard to know what to believe.

I think if Bird, dearden, isaako, and now milford and kenner were available, it may of happened by now.

Fwiw Boyd is appearently on around 600k on the cap.

Nine.com has him on 800K/year. The guy is old and slow and not in it.

Bennett signed him until 2021 to ruin us.

Bennett says it had nothing to do with him and is all Andrew Gee's fault.

A lot of rumours going around that Bennett knew he was leaving the club and fucked them royally by signing players he didn't want for money they don't deserve and not signing players he did want so he could lure them to redfern (s'ua and roberts). Much like he did at Newcastle.

Apparently Seibold had to get rid of Sua, Roberts etc just so the Broncos came under the salary cap.

At least if it was Gee his retirement won't free up any cap space for them. $700 of the $800k will have been under the table.
